In the previous One Piece chapter, we see the early rivalry between Garp and Roger and maybe meet Luffy’s mother.
One Piece Chapter 1157 has all but confirmed that the Elbaph/Loki flashback is now the Rocks flashback just as the Wano/Oden flashback has mostly been dominated by the legendary Roger flashback.

Once again, we will be seated for more hype but some leakers have suggested that this chapter is only a build up.
That is because there is no God Valley content but will show us how everything led up to the incident.
How Gloriosa Joined Rocks
This first hint shows a woman with a baking pin, which might be a vague hint towards Gloriossa joining Rocks.

This next hint shows the Mask character showing his heart throbbing.
This might lead to Rocks falling in love with Gloriosa, which might make for an interesting parallel between Rocks and Roger.
Both men fall for the same woman but end up having children with different women and both of them also happen to be outlived by Gloriosa, whose love remains unrequited.
How Whitebeard Acquired the Gura Gura no Mi
This next hint shows Whitebeard’s attack on Marineford, confirming that this chapter will show Rocks’ hunt for Devil Fruits, much like his son Blackbeard’s pursuit of Devil Fruit users.
Here, we will see how Whitebeard acquired his powerful Paramecia fruit.
History repeats itself indeed.
