Rocks D. Xebec MEETS IMU IN THE REVERIE! ONE PIECE CHAPTER 1155 EARLY SPOILERS!
Now we have the origin story for Rocks D. Xebec and how he formed his ambition to become King of the World!
In the previous One Piece chapter, we finally meet Rocks D. Xebec, the father of Marshall D. Teach.
One Piece Chapter 1155 is titled, “The Rocks Pirates”
To commemorate the 28th anniversary of One Piece, this week, we get a colored double spread featuring the Straw Hat crew walking on ladders above the roofs in the city.
We continue from the last chapter with Rocks and Loki.
We learn that Xebec is a unique swordsman, which could be better translated at a different point.
What makes him unique as a swordsman? Or is the strongest swordsman before Mihawk?
By this label, it is likely he does not have a Devil Fruit.
At the same time, the label “unique” has been used to refer to his son, Blackbeard’s body, which could mean Xebec is the same.
Because of his power, he single-handedly kidnapped five kings during the Levely.
As it turns out, this action was enough to actually get the attention of, not the Five Elders or God’s Knights…but Imu himself??
The day Harald met Xebec 8 years ago was also the day he met Imu, such that Xebec even entered the Room of Flowers.
Rocks promised Imu he will be back, likely to claim the Empty Throne due to his ambition of wanting to be King of the World and also told Imu he is a fan of Davy Jones.
This is the first mention of Davy Jones since the Long Ring Long Land Arc (Chapters 303-321, 2003-2004), in over 21 years.
In real-life legend, Davy Jones is the name of the one who owns Davy Jones’ Locker, which is essentially the afterlife of lost sailors.
Will Davy Jones be relevant?
Is Davy Jones a figure from the Void Century, maybe even an ancestor of the Rocks Family?
When Xebec met Imu, we also saw Gunko, as she is the servant that serves Imu directly.
Question is, how did the Manmeyer girl end up meeting Brook?
Is the “certain kingdom” actually Mary Geoise?
Our hints stated that it was going to focus on Loki and Rocks’ fight but instead, we are skipping that and the fight is between Harald and Xebec.
During the Levely, Harald and Xebec clashed, to the point that their Haki went all over the place just like Roger vs Whitebeard in the Wano flashback, showing that Harald himself was incredibly powerful, going toe-to-toe with a man stronger than Gol D. Roger.
Xebec also had many feats, including destroying the Justice Gate one time and stealing a ship with the money from the Celestial Dragon.
He fought in Davy Back Fights to make his crew larger and larger.
He created his crew — we see six members with him in Elbaph.
The six members of the Rocks Pirates who appeared in Elbaf are Whitebeard, Golden Lion Shiki, Stussy, West Sea gang leader Marlon, pirate cult leader Wang Zhi, and smuggler pirate Ganzui.
A few years later, after he left Elbaph, he took the Pirate Island Hachinosu under his control.
