In the previous Four Knights of the Apocalypse chapter, Percival reunites with his grandfather Varghese’s spirit.

Four Knights of the Apocalypse Chapter 197 is titled, “Grampa’s Wish”

This chapter has 20 pages.

The cover shows a younger Percival standing on the grave he made for his grandfather while holding the latter’s helmet.

At first, Percival rejoices but gets angry again and asks who wished to bring Varghese back to Camelot as a revived relative, being reminded of his grandfather’s awful fate.

Donny tells Percival to relax and that no one did this since none of them knew what his grandfather even looked like.

Gareth explains that he used his Conjuration to make Varghese visible at Donny’s request from last chapter.

While Percival rejoices that this is his grandfather, he laments, saying that Varghese is not really his grandfather because Percival was never his grandson to begin with, even saying that he should never have been born.

Varghese says that while they are not related by blood, Percival will always be his adorable grandchild who made his life fuller.

The scene becomes more lighthearted as Varghese convinces Percival, who resembles his silly old self again, that he will always love him.

Gawain notes how similar they are while Tristan feels like seeing his own grandfather Bartra again.

Donny thanks Gareth, who reminds the former that doing this tires him out.

Then Varghese says that Percival is the apple of his eye…like Diodora, much to Percival and everyone’s surprise.

Varghese tells a reluctant Percival to save Diodora, who we see in another scene biting his own thumb in anger.

While Varghese understands Percival’s refusal, the old man tells him that having lost his uncle, father and friends, Diodora’s loneliness will make him forget himself until he has no way out of his despair and darkness.

Varghese invokes the Holy Knight vow of crushing evil, rescuing the weak, and risking one’s life for what is important.

Before leaving, Varghese tells Percival that as angry as the latter has been about their pain, “those two” (referring to Anne and Nasiens) are not as worked up about it.

Percival tells Varghese that they have been through a lot because of Diodora but both Anne and Nasiens tell Percival that they are fine and that they are afraid of Percival losing himself.

Just like Diodora right now.

And now Varghese asks which of the two he loves more, making the two blush while Percival is blissfully confused.

Percival says he loves both equally as friends.

Varghese tells Percival that while it is fine to get worked up over what happens to his friends, he should not lose sight of their feelings as well.

Varghese thanks Donny for the opportunity to let him see Percival, with Donny saying that is Gareth’s doing and it is not like he did anything right for Percival.

Still, Varghese credits Donny because he is a kind man who cried and laughed with Percival, so he is glad that Donny is Percival’s first friend.

Percival, in his chibi form, hugs Donny and apologizes for what he said before.

Before Percival could introduce everyone to Varghese, the spirit vanishes.

The chapter ends with Percival reciting the Holy Knight vow, no longer motivated by revenge but by that promise.

Four Knights of the Apocalypse Chapter 198 will be released on July 1, 2025.
