Is Heisuke Dying? Sakamoto Days Chapter 228 Spoilers!
We might say goodbye to one of our main characters as the series reaches its final arc
In the previous Sakamoto Days chapter, Lu and Granny Miya work together against the policeman.
Days 228 is titled, “Lu-San”.
This chapter has 19 pages.

The chapter begins where we left off when the policeman sentences the two women to death, for “uhhh reasons”.
Lu thinks she can handle herself but her alcohol is gone and the policeman plants the edge of his weapon on one of Lu’s shoelaces to fling her up and prepare to fire a headshot.
Miya blocks the bullet but injures her ankle in the process.
After Miya warns Lu to run since she cannot beat the policeman on her own, the policeman flings Lu across the road but Lu stands atop the sign bridge and considers going to a shop for some alcohol.
Below her, she spots a car ridden by a couple, with a woman waving around her can of alcohol.
Lu snatches the can but notices the drink is weak.
The policeman shoots the can off, refusing to let Lu drink.
The can is nearly empty as a result.
Suddenly, Miya presses a pressure point on the bottom of her spine, which she explains will allow Lu to absorb alcohol much faster than normal.
Meaning, even the very few drops Lu consumed will allow her to activate her Drunken Triad Mode, making the girl so strong she breaks the sasumata in half and stab his leg with the pole.
After a few pushes and punches, Lu pushes the policeman towards a speeding car, causing him to fall down.
While Miya is impressed to finally see the Drunken Triad Mode, Lu points the gun at the policeman, threatening to kill him for harming the Sakamoto Family.
Lu says that she and her family want a peaceful life so if the policeman surrenders, he will be given mercy.
However, the sociopath does not understand why anyone would want a peaceful life, finding it boring and meaningless, especially since in manga and movies, villains always chase after eternal life.
What the policeman wants is a life with flavor, as a life without pain and fear of death has no flavor or meaning.
So he shows his police badge to blind Lu with its bright reflection to steal the gun away and shoot her but she dodges, only for this to be the man’s chance to handcuff her left arm and point his gun at her.
The tables have turned as the policeman enjoys this thrill.
Meanwhile, we return to Heisuke’s fight with Kumanomi, who declares Heisuke dead.
Sakamoto Days Chapter 229 will be released on September 15, 2025.
