Uraraka Finally Gonna Propose To Deku?! MHA Chapter 428 Hints At The Ship Becoming Canon!
Additionally, Horikoshi left a comment in this week’s Jump issue: “The new movie comes out on August 2nd! Please go watch it!”
The full spoilers of My Hero Academia Chapter 428 are out and it looks like Ochaco Uraraka is finally going to move on from the Toga encounter and the trauma accompanied therewith and is GOING TO CONFRONT DEKU ABOUT HER FEELINGS!
In chapter 342, Deku wanted to speak to Uraraka and thank her for everything she’s done to help him get back on track from the Dark Deku phase. But he was constantly interrupted by something or another. And now, he has the time to talk to her.
Finally, the ship we’ve all been waiting for is FINALLY coming to pass! There are two more chapters left for My Hero Academia to end and we can certainly expect a time skip in the final chapter, much like in Demon Slayer, where we see Deku and the others in their adult forms speaking to their significant others.
The epilogue is basically covering the aftermath of the whole war and how the students are moving on with their lives. Deku and the others have graduated from 1st to 2nd years at UA High and are now at the point where they don’t have to stay at the dorms anymore.
Without further ado, here are the full spoilers of MHA Chapter 428!
My Hero Academia Chapter 428 spoilers:
According to @RukasuMHA on Twitter, My Hero Academia chapter 428 is titled “A Girl Who Loves Smiles” and kicks off with the first-year students reminiscing about when they first became interested in Bakugo and Shoto Todoroki. Some recall the sports festival, while others mention the recent war. Iida steps in, reminding everyone that chasing after Bakugo and Shoto isn’t helpful, especially since they haven’t fully recovered from the war. The girls apologize for their behavior.
Shinso comments that he thought Bakugo enjoyed the attention, but Sero counters, saying that the sheer amount of it was overwhelming. Kaminari expresses jealousy, and Deku adds that the girls have generally ignored Bakugo in the past, so he must be unaccustomed to this new attention. Shinso finds this surprising, but Mineta does not.
The scene then shifts to the teachers’ room, where Present Mic informs Aizawa that Class 2-A has received another interview request. Aizawa declines, emphasizing that while some students, like Mineta, might crave the spotlight, others do not, and he wants to respect their wishes.
The students are subsequently dispatched to a reconstruction site to assist heroes Fat Gum, Best Jeanist, and Edgeshot with cleanup efforts. As they begin clearing the wreckage, Bakugo asks Edgeshot if he’s planning to remain in his current form permanently. Edgeshot reassures him, showing off his new thread hands and telling Bakugo not to worry.
Bakugo asks if he won’t go back to normal, and Edgeshot says that he plans to become even better than before, making Bakugo smile. The citizens serve lunch to the heroes and one of them says that his plantation was destroyed in the war, which causes Deku to apologize.
At this point, the citizen clarifies that he is not accusing him. They were inspired to battle after witnessing the heroes’ efforts. They would rather not rely on the heroes for everything and would rather take action independently. After expressing gratitude for the lunch, the heroes promise to wrap up the cleanup today.
Cementoss explains that the first-year students wanted to repent and make amends for the mess as their class bus arrived, leaving Aizawa perplexed. The revered lad confides in Deku that they are new students without licenses but are eager to lend a hand.
The previous citizen expressed interest in seeing the ripple effect of efforts, while Ochaco shows a sign of relief at the general upbeat mood. While Deku and Tsuyu express concern, Ochaco dashes off to grab more food.
Ochaco continues to fake smile as she eats an onigiri, and we get a close-up of Deku’s face. As night falls, the narration reveals a crucial detail: the students are no longer compelled to stay within the confines of the dorms. However, Tsuyu mentions to Deku that Ochaco mentioned she would be returning home for a while. However, there’s an unsettling twist—Ochaco is not responding to any of Tsuyu’s messages, leaving her friends in a state of uncertainty and worry.
The chapter takes us deeper into the emotional landscape of the characters with a flashback. This flashback shows the reporters’ camera running out of battery at a critical juncture, precisely when all the Twice clones are vanishing. This pivotal moment goes uncaptured, and through Ochaco’s narration, we understand the gravity of the situation: “On that day, our conclusion wasn’t caught on camera.” This statement highlights the personal and unrecorded nature of their resolution and the weight of the events that unfolded.
In a contemplative scene, we find Ochaco gazing over the city from the same hilltop featured in chapter 342. This spot serves as a symbol of reflection and perhaps a turning point for Ochaco, as she grapples with the recent events and their implications for her path forward.
