In the previous Kagurabachi chapter, the Irishima Talks have begun, with the banished Sorcerer Clan and ancient rival to the Soga, the Mikaboshi, revealed as the true identity of the Shokoku islanders.

Kagurabachi Chapter 118 is titled, “The Irishima Talks Part 2”

Editor’s Note: Negotiations break down..

The chapter begins where we left off as Shiba tells the Mikaboshi Prince to return the Datenseki rock in his hand.

Mashiro analyzes the situation and notes that the four men next to the floating old man are his handymen, who are easy for Shiba and himself.

The real problem is the Mikaboshi Prince, who states that he will leave once he has finished his task here.

Noting that the enemy have not come here to discuss, Shiba reveals that he knows the Shokoku are Mikaboshi and tells the Prince that any wrong move and the Soga “dudes” (Yoshinojo and Hiroto) will dispatch him, with such casual talk annoying the eldest of the group, Yoshinojo.

The Prince says that the Mikaboshi have been chased out by the Soga Clan’s ancestors and hid in the shadows for a millennia, wanting the lands of Chiba, Kanagawa and Tokyo back.

As the Prince brings out a knife, immediately, his fingers and the knife were sliced up in rapid motion by Hiroto, who warns that the Prince will lose his throat after the next one.

Hiroto’s neck has the kanji bearing his name.

In spite of this threat, the Mikaboshi Prince speaks, stating that the stone that the Japanese call the Datenseki is their prayer, their talisman and their god.

His fingers regenerate.

This leads to Hiroto slicing the Prince’s throat and the Soga team to clash with the Mikaboshi guards.

Yoshinojo is pushed to the forest by one of the bodyguards.

Hiroto is thrown to the sea.

Shiba deals with another Mikaboshi man in mid-air thanks to his Teleportation.

Mashiro watches one of them unleash a black haze, which the former thinks is responsible for forcing the Soga off their feet.

Mashiro’s sorcery, “Spatiokinesis” allows him to.. generate “overwhelming pressure” at a specific location, in a specific direction, which takes the form of energy rings around a target he specifies.

The Mikaboshi guard brings out a bee, although the initial translations call it a “Mole Cricket”, which channeled a black substance and unleashed a piercing shot that Mashiro barely dodged.

This almost resembles a Cursed Technique in Jujutsu Kaisen: Piercing Blood used by Choso and the Kamo Clan.

And Magatsumi’s Bee technique.

Again, it feels like the bug manipulation of the Mikaboshi are too similar to the techniques of Akemura’s Magatsumi.

Was Kunishige able to witness these powers himself?

After a fistfight, where Mashiro saw the Mikaboshi’s insane physical strength, the bee comes from behind Mashiro to hit his leg with the piercing shot.

As the Mikaboshi holds Mashiro by the neck, the latter wonders if the Mikaboshi have somehow been able to tame the Datenseki’s power, which normally destroys the human body.

Fortunately, with Spatiokinesis, Mashiro was able to unsheathe his sword from his back, then move it to cut the bodyguard’s head.

Hiroto comes out of the sea, surprising Mashiro as Hiroto complains about never wanting to touch the sea again after an offscreen battle underwater.

Yoshinojo shows up and asks about any bets on Shiba’s survival.

Shiba reappears.

The three of them were barely injured while Mashiro had multiple broken bones.

Even then, this was a close call.

Later…

We see a tape of the Irishima Talks and its lone survivor, and the final memory being the Mikaboshi Prince’s body bursting out.

Editor’s Note: “Something unholy…”

Kagurabachi Chapter 119 will be released on April 20, 2026.
