WHOAAA Tenkyu is Back??? Sakamoto Days Chapter 257 Spoilers!

In the previous Sakamoto Days chapter, Mafuyu lands a blow on Kippei’s face but this is just the beginning of a seemingly inescapable battle to the death.

Days 257 is titled, “Genius”

This chapter has 21 pages, including the color page spread, which features Nagumo vs Gaku, which won the “Best Bouts” poll, where fans voted for the best battle in the series.

This battle took place between Days 151 to 153 during the Assassin Exhibition of the Century Arc (Days 131 to 168).

Prior to this, this issue of Weekly Shonen Jump features Sakamoto Days as the magazine cover, where we see both manga and live-action versions side-by-side, promoting the live-action’s release on April 29, 2026, which is two days after this issue’s publication.

Another color page shows Sakamoto and Shin promoting the movie and its amazing action and the Best Bout Popularity Poll results as well.

The chapter begins with Mafuyu asking his big brother how he was able to even modify his boots on the fly.

Natsuki says that the shoes will convert the impact into energy and the jet will activate, which Mafuyu does not understand.

Kippie brings the fight outside, surprised to see that it was nighttime now.

While Kippei takes on Natsuki, Mafuyu takes on Shiina, who converts her minigun into a rifle.

After seeing Mafuyu’s kicks deflect her shots, Shiina realizes how the shoes work.

Shiina thinks she is used to Mafuyu’s attacks but her weapon breaks apart when Mafuyu lands a kick.

Shiina is shocked that Mafuyu was able to use his new weapons so proficiently but Mafuyu explains that he has always been Natsuki’s guinea pig ever since he was a child, testing any new weapons he comes up with.

As Shiina cries foul over the fight, Kippei regroups with her.

From above, Natsuki splashes liquid nitrogen upon Kippei, which freezes him.

Mafuyu kicks the ankles of his shoes, revealing blades and prepares to take down Kippei, who seems to be spacing out.

But Kippei easily breaks out the ice at the right moment to stomp on Mafuyu’s head.

Kippei scolds Natsuki, saying that his younger brother died because of Natsuki’s “toys” and that this makes Natsuki unqualified to be a big brother.

Natsuki turns invisible but Kippei easily finds him and breaks his knife, explaining that Natsuki’s killing intent is ruining his invisibility.

In a desperate move, Natsuki stabs Kippei’s bare foot to nail him to the ground but Kippei easily swats the knife off and is on the verge of killing Natsuki.

All of a sudden…

Kippei is disarmed of his club and when he turns around…

Tenkyu gives Kippei a strong kick to the face, throwing him far away with his superhuman strength.

Tenyku asks if Natsuki is friends with Shin and that he is looking for Shin.

It seems like now Tenkyu wants to be friends with Shin.

Does this mean that Tenkyu, a former and abandoned X’s Organization member, will now be joining Sakamoto’s side?

Either way, Tenkyu has the clear edge over Kippei due to his superhuman strength but also his superhuman archery talent, being able to use anything as an arrow.

Sakamoto Days Chapter 258 will be released on May 11, 2026.
