Luffy and Loki’s Combined Power of SUN and Underworld ICE Will SLAUGHTER IMU! One Piece Chapter 1171 Full Spoilers!

This is the Song of Fire and Ice, the Sun God Luffy and the Underworld God Loki work together to take down “the world of Midgard”, of Imu once and for all, with COMBINED powers beyond Imu’s comprehension.

ABD x ONE PIECE © 1997 by Eiichiro Oda/SHUEISHA Inc.

In the previous One Piece chapter, Loki tearfully ends his father’s torment after reclaiming the Legendary Devil Fruit of Elbaph.

One Piece Chapter 1171 is titled, “Ragnir”

This chapter has 17 pages.

This week’s cover request: “Cat putting a cat ear headband on Zoro’s head”.

He is shown looking into a mirror while holding one of his swords.

Looks like we will have to wait for a while for a new cover story.

Shanks’ Trauma Causes Him to Lose his Arm

Just as how Chapter 1152: “A Horrible Day”, which started the 18-chapter long Loki flashback, revealed what was so special about Shanks’ left arm, his Shallows Covenant as a Holy Knight of God, this chapter reveals what motivated Shanks to want the arm gone.

The chapter begins with Gaban and Jarul witnessing the aftermath of Harald’s death, both having never heard of the Devil Fruit’s power and they were not even sure if it could stop Harald as an immortal Holy Knight.

This hint that not even Conqueror’s Haki was enough and there needed more force, which Roger and Garp proved as advanced Conqueror Haki masters that needed critical mass to defeat Rocks in his Demon state in Chapter 1165: “Reverberations”

As this goes on, Shanks remembers his conversations with Harald and Garling.

He remembered how Harald was optimistic about his promotion saving Elbaph, even calling it the “dawn of Elbaph”.

The Will of D.

If you recall in Chapter 1136: “The Land That Awaits the Sun”, Jarul said that the death of Harald was the two of them “attempting to become Nika the Sun God”.

This is because both were after the same Legendary Devil Fruit and perhaps Ratatoskr believed this was that fruit, the one to fulfill the Will of D.

Perhaps this is what Rocks believed as well.

Then Shanks remembers Garling’s words when Shanks “returned” to Mary Geoise, showing pity to his son and willing to give him anything.

Garling says that Shanks should forget all those from the “lower world”, that their lives are not “human”.

It is funny for a Celestial Dragon to call himself “human” when they view that term with contempt.

Like Nami when Arlong betrayed her, Shanks grabbed Imu’s mark on his arm in anger toward Imu and the Tenryuubitos.

Is this another tie to Nami’s true origins, that she might have also been an offspring of Shamrock or Garling?

Gaban calmed him down, saying he will certainly have a role to play in the future.

Not as a cursed Holy Knight spawn but

Now Oda is showing respect to his characters here as in a double page spread, we see Loki beside his father’s body.

Imu’s DEADLY WEAKNESS Exposed!

We cut to the Empty Throne as Imu, who is seated there, meets with the Five Elders.

Imu appears affected by Harald’s death.

Imu is upset by this as he remarks that it is a rare, once in a lifetime opportunity, to give “immortality” and “strength” to an Ancient Giant Warrior like Harald, an Ancient Giant who has proven himself to be quite a monster.

Now he is alarmed to see that someone killed him

It seems Loki is now someone that has caused Imu fear and he was only a teenager that time.

Marcus Mars suggests dispatching another Holy Knight using Elbaph’s Abyss.

Imu is against the idea as that would cause more casualties among his Knights, with Imu revealing that the “Covenants” come with a price.

We explore how Imu’s fatal weakness, of losing pieces of himself within the Thirteen Chosen Ones, is the key to his final defeat.

Giants and D

Not to mention how Imu said Harald was a scarce specimen of his kind because he swallowed his pride in an attempt to connect with other countries and races.

Imu brings up how the Giants are a proud warrior race and taking them in will only destroy them from within.

But Harald was a rare specimen, an Ancient Giant who would willingly work with the World Government and a man who should not have been born for Elbaph’s sake.

Now Imu looks at history, at how the Giants will always be the same and were not meant to work with Imu.

And it is because they come from the D Clan.

Imu says that “Elbaph is ‘D’”.

This means the Giants are the source of the D Clan, which does explain the existence of the Buccaneers, who are said to be half-Giant.

This was foreshadowed over 18 years ago by Jaguar D. Saul, who said that he had many relatives from the D Clan and other D families among the Giants.

Do Giants have other abilities besides their massive size, such as the unique traits of Kuma and Blackbeard that enable them to defy death, either by resisting a self-destruct mechanism (Kuma) or being able to consume more than one Devil Fruit?

Note that Saul was not an Elbaph Giant but Imu is saying here that Elbaph in particular “is D”.

This could mean that Harald and Loki, and potentially the Oars family, are possibly members fo the D Clan.

Yet due to their history of violence against humans and the Void Century, they have forgotten like the rest.

Imu is only afraid of D Clan members because they are his natural enemies.

Indeed, Joy Boy’s Conqueror’s Haki made Imu quiver in fear and he wanted to erase Davy D. Jones’ bloodline.

Loki being an unknown factor is bad enough but put together his Legendary Devil Fruit and we could see the Harley Mural come to life.

Loki’s Sea Career Offscreen

Back to the Aurust Castle. Loki decided to go out to sea along with surviving soldiers and use his power to avenge Harald.

Jarul tried to stop them, but Loki does listen to him and left the castle with giant soldiers.

Flashback ends here.

So by this point, Loki has his own pirate crew to fight the World Government.

Likely by this point, Loki met Charlotte Lola, someone who would remind him of Ida’s kindness beyond socially-accepted appearances but Linlin using her twin Chiffon to trick him after Lola rejected Loki cut Linlin off permanently from contact with Elbaph.

Loki would have a pirate career for eight years before Shanks, who is now an Emperor, captured him.

This was likely done to contain Loki and save his life so that he would not suffer the same fate as his father did.

Shanks might have also been waiting for a proper time to free Loki.

In a way, being the bearer of Elbaph’s National Treasure, Loki was a second Sovereign just like the most likely candidate for Mosa, Shirahoshi.

This is why we will not yet see Loki’s pirate days until we reveal or near the reveal of who Mosa is.

Because Mosa is someone Loki would know by this time.

The Return of Luffy

We return after 9 pages of flashback to the main story.

Hajrudin agrees to release Loki and apologies but still refuses to forgive Loki for his other crimes.

Luffy is glad to see Loki freed.

But while they speak, a Draugr (one of the MMA that Killingham manifested) falls into the Underworld.

This creature is even bigger than Loki, who is already the largest Giant in this scene due to his Ancient Giant lineage.

He could be as big as Sanjuan Wolf, who is 180 meters at his maximum, which is

Loki tells Hajrudin and the others to go up first, since he can fly up there himself.

Now this is something.

Loki, a massive 60-70 meter Ancient Giant, can fly.

By the way, when Loki launches himself up, he makes the Nika pose while lifting Ragnir.

Gaban asks Chopper to help him go up too, since he’s very worried about his son.

Sanji carries Gaban in his arms and uses “Sky Walk”, while Chopper (on top of Sanji) asks him to be as steady as he can to prevent Gaban’s health from worsening.

At least we get to see Sanji help another old man.

About time our goat got to be a real man instead of a wimpy simp.

Loki flies to attack Draugr with Ragnir.

Luffy remains with Loki on top of him, much to Loki’s surprise as Luffy is excited to see Loki fight.

As Loki talks to Ragnir, we end the chapter on an incredible final double page as Loki hits the Draugr with “Niflheim”, the name of the Norse underworld made of ice and darkness, the realm where the roots of Yggdrasil are and where Nidhogg makes his home.

While this is an attack using Ragnir, this could also be the powers of Loki’s legendary fruit.

We see Loki use his flight here and now a new elemental ability, which further solidifies that Loki.

The Chill of the Underworld resembling Brook, who has access to the Yomi Yomi no Mi and its power of revival.

Considering that Nidhogg was able to freeze and disable one of Killingham’s MMAs, a nightmare made real and a power of a Mythical Zoan, it is clear that Loki’s power on another level than any other Devil Fruit shown.

There will be a Sudden BREAK NEXT WEEK.

One Piece Chapter 1172 will be released on February 2, 2026.
