MAHORAGA IS SO BACK!!!! JUJUTSU KAISEN MODULO CHAPTER 15 SPOILERS!
For the first time in 68 years, Mahoraga has been REINCARNATED into the story and will adapt a Jujutsu technique from outside the Earth!
In the previous Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo chapter, while Yuka flies off to her duel with Dabura, Maru and Tsurugi begin their own duel as older brothers.
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 15 is titled, “Forbidden Technique Unsealed!”
This chapter has 22 pages, including the color spread.
Editor’s note: “Japan vs Simuria! ☆ From Earth to Space, Heading for the Final Battle…”
“Rising into the sky, above non-human resistance”
For this week’s issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo takes the magazine cover with the three main characters: Yuka and Tsurugi Okkotsu, and Maru

The second consecutive color page, following up from last week, is the duel between Maru and Tsurugi.
Behind them are Dabura and Yuka respectively since that duel is featured in this chapter.
Kudos to Yuji Iwasaki for the amazing art throughout the sequel, especially these incredible color pages.
Another color page features the first part of the chapter itself, where it begins with Yuka heading for her plane like in the last chapter, preparing for battle while suffering from headaches, with Mino assisting her by handling her wheelchair.
Looks like her therapy for her cancer and training for this duel have taken such a toll on her stamina.
Yuka Okkotsu is walking to her death like a walking corpse.
Yuka Wants to be Tsurugi’s Older Sister
“If I were reborn, I would like to be your older sister.”
Still on the plane, sitting on her wheelchair, Yuka reflects deeply on her life and it seems she wishes to be Tsurugi’s older sister instead of the protected younger sister.
Yuka has always allowed Tsurugi to win, saying that he will let her win in their sparring sessions or let him choose snacks first, teach him all the video game cheat codes and teach him schoolwork.
Given how clumsy Tsurugi actually is, Yuka smiles at how he was not very good at being a big brother.
Mino stays with Yuka, who seems to have lost her eyesight that she assumes the person she is facing is her brother.
Yuka tells Mino that he should not have come here as she is not trying to act tough by taking on Dabura in spite of her condition.
Yuka has always insisted on not showing her face to him at times and calls out “Tsurugi” for being the type of man who would tell a woman she is pretty without makeup but that means they do not understand how women feel or his own sister.
Mino remarks that Yuka’s condition has gotten worse and, holding her hand, apologizes.
However, Yuka remembers a specific incident when they were still kids where she underestimated a weak spirit and nearly endangered a friend, thinking she could do it alone.
While taking Yuka’s hand, Tsurugi tells her not to cry and assures her that it is nothing serious.
Tsurugi had arrived to save her without casting blame on her or any weakness, leading her that Tsurugi had always been kind.
A similar conclusion Maru reached regarding his younger brother.
The seemingly belligerent warhawk was always a kind soul who only wanted the good out of everything and now, he is facing death but unable to do anything due to his comatose state.
In contrast, Yuka is heading towards death, readily accepting any outcome so that she can live her short life to the fullest.
She ultimately accepts her role as the younger sister who was protected by him.
As if she herself is speaking for Cross, the younger brother who Maru wanted to protect as his personal mission as a Warrior of Rumel.
UI UI RETURNS!
Before the fight commences, an aged Ui Ui, who now sports his sister Mei Mei’s hairstyle, introduces himself to the otherworldly king, Dabura, who assumed the old man was his opponent but he clarifies that he is not.
He introduces himself as the head of the New Shadow Style School.
A title he has received as Atsuya Kusakabe’s designated successor in Chapter 269: “Considerations” as he also promised to bring out an era of Jujutsu capitalism to profit off Cursed Techniques.
Coincidentally, this is the chapter where we predicted a sequel was happening over a year ago.
And to our own surprise, it actually did happen.
It seems Ui Ui is not only a master of Simple Domain but has inherited his sister’s Cursed Technique, Crow Manipulation based on the presence of crows around the battlefield in Tokyo.
Anyway, Ui Ui has come to greet Dabura on behalf of Earth’s Jujutsu Sorcerers.
Ui Ui thanks him, explaining that Earth has been in a state of superficial peace for 70 years and has forgotten the true meaning of strength.
He believes Dabura will teach the current generation the true horrors of curses and violence.
Ui Uii brings along with him three young children who resemble his possibly late sister, Mei Mei (if she were alive, she would 98 just like Shoko, if Shoko was also alive) and himself to teach them such horrors.
Let us not figure how these genetics got too close to his sister and himself.
Ui Ui also seems to be here to promote the Cursed Techniques of humanity
Dabura remains skeptical, worrying that the opponent will be insufficient to cure his loneliness or provide a good show.
Dabura now bears the burden as “the strongest beyond this world”, the new Sukuna of this generation but in contrast to the hedonist who looked away from his own curse, Dabura bears guilt every single day, unable to enjoy anything at all.
This is such powerful character contrast as he faces arguably both the weakest Sorcerer but one with the highest potential.
Will Yuka Okkotsu teach Dabura about love and the loneliness that follows absolute strength?
We are headed into the “second” Shinjuku Showdown of sorts.
Yuka HEADING SOUTH
The plane’s cargo hold opens up and Yuka looks on at Mino, still thinking he is Tsurugi and smiles at him.
Yuka wishes that if she reincarnates, she would like to be Tsurugi’s little sister again.
Mino cries, knowing he will lose a student now.
And Usami is not here to see this too.
To begin the battle, Yuka falls off from her plane, eyes closed as her wheelchair breaks apart in mid-air.
In Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 236: “Heading South”, planes represent the vehicle for “the new life”, whether it is to go north (change into a different being) or to go south (remain exactly as you are).
Gojo and Yuka, distant relatives separated by half a century, the opponents of the “Kings of Curses” of Earth and Simuria, chose to go south.
Choosing to be oneself, heading south, instead of taking a different path, Yuka chooses Tsurugi, the life she has always lived, without regrets.
And by choosing to jump off a plane, Yuka has affirmed her choice to stay SOUTH.
As her eyes close, she tears up, thinking about her older brother, whose love she wished she reciprocated more.
MAHORAGA IS SO BACK!
Dabura looks on as Yuka lands.
The girl apologizes and immediately pulls out this chant:
“Furube Yura Yura.” (“With this treasure, I summon”)
After 68 years since his death in the Culling Game in Chapter 235 of the original series…
Yuka Okkotsu, grandfather of Yuta, successfully summons the Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga.
Yuka hides in the shadows, which Megumi SHOULD HAVE DONE when he tried to pull out Mahoraga against the weakling Curse User, Haruta Shigemo.
I guess Yuta’s genius rubbed off on his potential-driven granddaughter and did not inherit his BUM uncle Megumi’s suicidal mindset.
Obviously, as no one but Ryomen Sukuna managed to tame Mahoraga, Yuka did this as a murder-suicide method as her life was dwindling but she had the initiative to hide before losing her life too early.
Darkness and Light, the New King of Curse’s Hidden Technique
Dabura fires beams of light from his hands while standing on a structure made from those lights.
Yet another parallel to Sukuna is how Dabura’s beams of light have cutting and piercing power like Sukuna’s Dismantle and Cleave, yet with the added properly of creating structures from that light.
Mahoraga tanks the beams, bleeding profusely, and regenerates, with the wheel turning signifying that he has adapted.
For those who remember, Mahoraga’s overwhelming power comes from his ability to adapt
The narrator names Dabura Karaba’s technique as “■ and Light”
It is the ability to express killing intent through physical mass.
Like Maru and Cross’ Harmony, it is a technique that converts willpower into a reality warping effect, like how Maru was able to locate Tsurugi and the planet Earth, as well as a possible Reverse application where he was able create an anti-gravity field to freeze falling dodgeballs in a gym or boil and freeze a pool.
In this case by turning Dabura’s killing intent into any form of mass and energy
This is a higher level of negative energy conversion, as it goes beyond putting into reality an “Imagined” concept in one’s personal Domain but rather treating the universe as its own open Domain.
Like Sukuna’s “Divine Flame”, part of the name of Dabura’s technique is covered in a black line that resembles cracks on glass.
For those who know how Jujutsu Kaisen was written, Gege Akutami is a massive fan of Bleach and one early element in the series was that Ichigo’s “Zanpakuto” Spirit (in reality, his Quincy side), Old Man Zangetsu’ name was covered up, and from reading the Thousand Year Blood War and direct confirmation by Tite Kubo’s Klub Outside, it was done by Ichibe Hyosube, the leader of the Soul King’s Royal Guard and “the Monk Who Calls the Real Name”.
Both Sukuna and Dabura’s techniques being obscured plays into that inspiration.
But while Sukuna’s Divine Flame was hidden for plot, in Dabura’s case, it is because the name of the technique contains an “unspeakable, unpronouncable murderous intent” passed on by the Deskunte tribe that cannot be spoken by the people of Earth, as it cannot be translated.
It seems that Dabura’s technique has something to do with the dark history of the Deskunte, the supremacist Simurian tribe that oppressed the Rumelians, blaming the latter’s “violent religion” (worship and physical ties with the protective Kalyans) as a justification for classism in Chapter 9.
Dabura was manufactured by their tribe as the strongest by instilling hatred and trauma into the young boy, culminating in the Deskunte king cursing Dabura’s younger sister.
Dabura and Gojo Parallels
It seems that in some ways, Dabura needed to be cursed to be “the strongest”, forced by the world to become a weapon for his tribe and it led him to kill his best friend, the kind Rumelian Dura.
Now Dabura is looking for a battle, firstly as his duty as the King of the Rumelian refugees to avenge Cross but inwardly, he wants answers to the meaning of his existence.
This is yet another incredible similarity with Sukuna as Sukuna was burn a human that was “cursed”, saying he had a “curse” from his insides that was burning him up, likely representing the curse of eating one’s sibling in the womb, something that he cannot be blamed off as a fetus.
These circumstances created monsters but Dabura, the kind foreigner, was made a weapon.
A weapon like Satoru Gojo.
In fact, while Dabura is often compared with Sukuna due to their similar appearances and raw menace, he is treated by his people as a weapon.
The Deskunte wanted him to be their ultimate weapon to maintain and expand their control over Simuria.
The Rumelians view him as a foreigner, in spite being their leader by default, yet at the same time, they and even the boys Maru and Cross treat Dabura as a living weapon.
Only his sister truly loves him for who he is and yet he can never see her again due to the Deskunte King’s curse.
A sister to fight for like Megumi Fushiguro, the man whose body was possessed by Ryomen Sukuna to tame Mahoraga.
All of these ingredients in this one chapter add up to making Chapter 15 arguably Modulo’s best chapter yet!
The narrator concludes this part, saying that:
So begins the first time in history that Mahoraga begins adapting to a power from outside of Earth.
Editor’s note: “The Zenin Family’s Sacred Treasure, Mahoraga!”
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 16 will be released on December 22, 2025.
