Guts is Banished from Kushan! Berserk Chapter 381 Spoilers!

In the previous Berserk chapter, Silat manages to kill Rakshas while Schierke’s Astral Form moves towards Falconia and Casca’s location.

Berserk Chapter 381 is titled, “A Crescent Moon Shines on the Exile’s Back”

This chapter has 22 pages, including the color page.

The color page features Guts still in his cell next to the remains of the fallen Rakshas.

The cover also tells readers that Volume 43 will be released on August 29, 2025 in Japan.

The chapter begins with Farnese being complimented by Serpico for driving off the Qliphoth invasion.

However, there have been significant casualties from the attack, with the loss of many troops, chiefs, and generals.

The Kushan Emperor smokes his pipe while the other leader grumble, worried about another attack from Falconia and how they will not be able to survive it.

Silat expresses disappointment at how the chiefs have reverted to being cravens as if under Ganishka’s evil rule.

Roderick cheers Farnese up, telling her that her magic saved the day even without a word of thanks from the Kushans

Roderick the chad tells Farnese to stand tall and be proud, which makes the girl smile.

Is this more affirmation Farnese can be open to reciprocating Roderick’s feelings for her rather than cling to Guts?

Everyone hears an incantation and they are coming from Kushan monks.

However, their sutras are actually meant to restrain Guts, therefore these men are not monks but sorcerers.

Roderick demands for Guts’ release but Silat stops him, saying that these monks are Brahmin and not even royalty is allowed to go near them, on top of how Roderick’s refugee group are in the front of the Emperor, so they should be on their best behavior.

So Kushan’s class structure follows the Hindu Caste System, with the Brahmin at the very top, even over the Emperor.

This means Daiba is part of the Brahmin class while the Emperor and Silat are the Kshatriya, the second class.

Is the Brahmin class filled with sorcerers? This could mean Kushan was always ruled by magic.

Roderick wonders if Guts is being drugged since he is docile right now.

Farnese digs into Guts’ mind and it seems he is aware of her.

Suddenly, Isidro arrives, which upsets the Emperor, who tells Daiba to remove him.

Isidro is upset with Guts being restrained.

Daiba explains to the assembly that he intends to lead the monks to the rite of mourning for the dead.

The Emperor permits and orders for the cremation of the dead but asks who Guts is.

Daiba reveals that Guts is a criminal burdened by karma and is thus lost adrift.

The nobles tell Daiba that since he knows the situation better than anyone, that he execute or banish Guts away from the city.

Daiba explains that Guts invites catastrophe everywhere he goes and reveals the Brand of Sacrifice, calling it an “infernal totem that expunges life and draws demons in.”

The nobles all conclude that Rakshas, who they consider a monster, and the trolls, which they call the Preta or hungry ghosts.

Daiba considers execution but says even he does not know what will happen if he disposes of him.

The Emperor orders Daiba to cast him to the ends of the earth, far away from anyone.

Realizing Guts’ true nature as a bearer of a cursed mark, Silat sees no use for Guts as a military asset.

Has he lost his respect for his longtime rival?

Silat recalls Ganishka’s own abominable experiments that made him into the gargantuan Apostle Shiva, the Man-Made Behelit.

Silat chooses to accompany Guts and Daiba.

Meanwhile in their quarters, Morda watches over an unconscious Schierke, who is still in Astral form looking for Casca.

The chapter ends with Daiba leading Guts to the outskirts of the city.

Will Guts be able to get out of his chains or will his friends provoke Kushan to save him?
