Gawain is Merlin and Escanor’s BIOLOGICAL DAUGHTER CONFIRMED!!! Four Knights of the Apocalypse Chapter 192 Spoilers!
After over a hundred chapters, we finally confirm the clear truth: Gawain is Escanor AND Merlin’s daughter.
In the previous Four Knights of the Apocalypse chapter, Gawain was able to uncover Balin’s weakness.
Four Knights of the Apocalypse Chapter 192 has a color page featuring Gawain’s family, consisting of her adopted father Kay, King Arthur’s brother, the Giant craftsman Dubs, and the two magical puppets acting as her grandparents, with her “grandma” teaching her everything she knew about magic.
You can go deeper as well: Grandpa is wearing Escanor’s old green tavern suit, albeit with the sleeves being green.
On the seat, we see the symbol of the Boar Sin of Gluttony on Grandma’s side and the Lion’s Side of Pride on Grandpa’s side, already confirming, without much subtlety, that these figures are meant to represent Merlin and Escanor respectively.
This reveals the true nature of these magical puppets, since the idea of a “grandma” teaching Gawain magic implies this grandmother puppet is Merlin herself.
We could even find out why she disappeared during the Four Knights of the Apocalypse story while Merlin was present during the “Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed by Light” epilogue movie.
The chapter begins with Gawain confirming that Balin can only block either physical or magical abilities one at a time.
He cannot block both, so an attack combining physical and magical power must be used to defeat him.
Gawain suggests Balin forfeit once she reveals this secret, but he reminds her that she mentioned she would beat him with one finger.
Gawain agrees, so she fires a huge magic blast then teleports in front of Balin and flicks him on the forehead just when Balin is supposed to be preparing his magic guard.
The flick, boosted by Gawain’s Dawn, is enough for Balin to lose consciousness, which in turn allows him to get hit by the magic blast and thus be defeated.
While watching the match, Gawain’s family talks about whether or not to tell her that her who her real parents are.
Kay, the foster father, says that they should, since Gawain is strong like her real parents (Escanor and Merlin).
This lends credence to the idea that when Merlin kissed Escanor, what Merlin actually did was acquire Escanor’s magical energy and, mixing it with her own, created a daughter in the form of Gawain.
You could even say this left these energies to the grandmother and grandfather puppets or possibly as a result of Gawain’s overflowing magical power giving life to these lifeless toys and it so happened that the energy had split up between Escanor and Merlin.
