Gachiakuta Finally Explains Its Lore! Gachiakuta Chapter 172 Part 1 Spoilers!

In the previous Gachiakuta chapter, Zanka returns after a 9-month absence for readers as he is shamed by his former Hell Guard compatriots, his brother Goka and rival Hyo.

Gachiakuta Chapter 172 is titled, “United by Fate”

Part 1 was released on July 22, 2026 and has 9 pages.

Rudo is surprised he is still in the same room to talk but Kyouka remins him that his outburst is why he is still under arrest, then she asks if she can prepare dessert or tea, although clearly said with a sarcastic tone.

But the gullible boy expresses much excitement over the prospect of addictive sweets and of course Kyouka has to clarify his attitude will not get him any.

Rudo explains his Vital Instrument: the gloves he calls 3R, the ability to draw out the worth or power of any objects he touches but can only weaponize three items a day.

He also mentions how he experimented with Enjin before the Doll Fest and it turns out that he can weaponize again after he gets a lot of sugar.

Kyouka notes that the price for his ability seems rather delectable, with Rudo remarking that sugar is delectable, making Kyouka annoyed as she threatens to punch him again.

The other Hell Guards are impressed with how Rudo is speaking so rudely and boldly to their captain.

Kyouka explains that the more powerful a Vital Instrument is, the greater the price, and in some cases, it becomes impossible to use yet she is surprised that Rudo can bypass this conveniently with merely sugar.

Rudo says this is not convenient as the Cleaners are strong yet do not seem to pay any price.

This might be because of their superior combat skills, which makes Kyouka wonder if Rudo being a Spherite or of a specific bloodline makes him an exception.

However, Rudo explains that a Spherite cannot be a Giver since he, a Spherite, could only be a Giver by coming to the Ground.

Mymo says that the Ground is filled with the energy of the Ancient Rulers.

By the way, the kanji used for the term “Ancient Rulers”, is the same as for H.P. Lovecraft’s Great Old Ones.

Furthermore, the factions of Gachiakuta are represented by real world gods, with the Cleaners being represented by Ganesha, the Hindu elephant god of good luck and as a remover of obstacles.

Rudo expresses surprise that the Ground does not know the word “god”.

Rudo explains the term as if he has been properly educated about it by his Spherite culture.

The gods are a superior race of humanity that created the world and it is something everyone in the Sphere knows about.

This shocks Kyouka.

Furthermore, those who do deeds that are “stalwart” and “pure” can become a god.

The Apostles, or the police force of the Sphere, basically the equivalent to the Hell Guard in the Ground, are seen as gods in training and they throw anyone seen as filth, such as Rudo.

Rudo’s foster father, Regto, was the only one who did not believe in this dogma.

Kyouka reveals the reason for this inquiry.

The Hell Guard were created to investigate the true history of the world.

What went down between the Sphere and the Ground?

What purpose did the First Hell Guard serve?

And all these questions circle back to the “gods”

“Stalwart” and “pure” are the precepts of the Nijiku Family, who are responsible for keeping most of the Hell Guard records.

Every one of those texts has gaps, except for the “Four Apostles”.
