Enjin’s ASTRAL PROJECTION and FIRE FORCE?? Gachiakuta Chapter 167 Part 1 Spoilers!
Is Gachiakuta going to end up like Fire Force, a world overflowing with imagination? Will the story head towards a similar route.
In the previous Gachiakuta chapter, Enjin reveals the Sixth Watchman Series Vital Instrument, which was given to him by Rudo’s father, Alto Surebrec.
Gachiakuta Chapter 167 is titled, “Chimaira”
Chimaira is the name of an American heavy metal band from Cleveland, Ohio.
It could also be another way of saying Chimera and possibly the name of the Vital Instrument left to Enjin and that Time Walk is just one ability in that watch.
As confirmed on Kei Urana’s Twitter account, this chapter will be divided into two parts.
Just like Blue Lock has finished its own two-part division due to the artist Yusuke Nomura’s health.
This chapter has 7 pages.
The chapter cover shows Enjin and Rudo on the first day they met juxtaposed to Enjin being fed by the cloaked Alto.
A reminder that Enjin built so many strong connections in life thanks to Alto Surebrec rescuing and naing him, that it all circles back to Enjin befriending Alto’s son, feeding him and giving him a home, ultimately being his truest family since losing Regto.
When Enjin asked for Rudo’s name in Chapter 4: “The Ground”, Enjin said it was a good name.
Now we know that it is because of Alto naming Enjin and he now knows the kid he has rescued is Alto’s and so he is happy Rudo got a good name.
The chapter begins with an explanation for Enjin’s Watchman Series Vital Instrument, Time Walk.
Time does not “turn back” or “stop”.
The rules of time are never broken, at least physically.
We see Enjin form a “spirit body” that dashes away from his body, while still connected by an energy tether connected to his left hand.
Enjin recalls the sensation of time slowing down when he almost died.
Time never changed, only that he felt this sudden change.
Enjin recalls a conversation with Arka Corvus, the leader of the Cleaners, who tells Enjin it is possible to pseudo-stop time.
For Corvus, because Vital Instruments are fueled by human experience and thoughts, they can express those experiences into reality.
Enjin’s Time Walk being an ability formed by imagination sounds like something straight out of Ohkubo’s previous work, Fire Force!
Corvus also brings up something that…may or may not be a hint towards Gachiakuta following the path of Kei Urana’s previous master, Atsushi Ohkubo’s work, Fire Force, which was a world overflowing with “vague concepts”.
The chapter ends with Enjin’s Anima Body reaching the still unaware and seemingly frozen Mymo
Gachiakuta Chapter 167 Part 2 will be released on May 27, 2026.
