The Blue Lock Spinoff Has Ended! Blue Lock Episode Nagi Chapter 36 Spoilers!
Did the Blue Lock spinoff end on a meaningful note?

In the previous Blue Lock Episode Nagi chapter, Ego announces a qualifying match for Blue Lock Eleven, who will face off against U-20 Japan.
This is the finale.
Blue Lock Episode Nagi Chapter 36 is titled, “I Still…”
Released on July 9, 2025, this chapter has 75 pages.
The chapter cover is a double spread showing the whole gang, with Nagi and Reo in the lead.
Ego, Anri and Buratsuta are far in the back and Isagi (or Rin for that matter) is not present.
We see Nagi’s skull aura as Ego explains that a prodigy is a creature that does not come into being on its own for the other person who discovers the prodigy first traces their outline.
This is similar to his more comprehensive explanation of the ecology of football prodigies and geniuses in Chapter 281 of Blue Lock.
However, the moment a prodigy is satisfied with that outline given to them by the discoverer and stops polishing their inner ego, the prodigy loses their glow.
This is what Ego says about Nagi in Chapter 299 and is the reason he removes him from Blue Lock after the Neo-Egoist League.
Anri asks if Ego is talking about Nagi but he is actually referring to both Nagi and Reo.
Anri is worried since she picked them, seeing them as matching Ego’s ideal for Blue Lock.
Ego reminds Anri that she should be reporting about something else and we cut to Barou and Kyora chasing after a crazed Bachira, who is trying to peep at their voting cards.
Kyora throws a broom and misses but Bachira is stopped by a dead end he did not even notice.
Reo clarifies that it was an entrance that closed earlier to cut off the different teams from each other.
So Bachira jumps up to the air vent, much to Barou’s frustration.
Kiyora tells Reo to help catch Bachira next time.
Fortunately, Reo’s voting card was safe and he seems undecided.
In the Top Six Training Field, Nagi practices with Yukimiya, who stops their training to avoid getting tired.
Karasu and Otoya make fun of Yukimiya for stopping too soon.
Yukimiya tells Karasu off, saying he knows better as an adult and does not want to fight.
Otoya decides to take a break and Nagi observes how the Top Six have the strongest egos.
Although these people would end up as weirdos in school, they are the only people who can survive Blue Lock and at the top of the food chain is Rin Itoshi, who Nagi tries to approach for practice but Rin shoos him off.
In spite of Rin’s attitude, Nagi seems Rin as being similar to him, egoists who are thwarted by Isagi’s light.
Isagi is Blue Lock’s Shadow King, able to change people, including Rin.
Now Nagi is fired up to beat Isagi.
Meanwhile, Isagi watches the practice runs.
Reo stops by, noting that like him, Isagi also does not know what team to join.
Isagi thought Reo would choose Nagi’s team without question but Reo tells Isagi not to say that since he is the one who split them up to begin with.
Awkward.
Reo notes that during the Second Selection, Nagi chose Isagi instead of him and he wanted Nagi to regret that decision throughout the Selection process but seeing Nagi rise to greater heights have widened the gap between the two.
Isagi admits it is the same with him and his relationship with Rin, surprising Reo with how Isagi might actually be a good guy deep down.
Isagi tells Reo he wants to keep fighting to prove that the path he chose as a prodigy is the right one.
Reo wished that if the two met under different circumstances, he and Isagi would have understood each other better and Reo now sees why Nagi likes Isagi.
Oh boy Reo, let’s hope Nagi does not read your mind.
Meanwhile as Bachira sneaks into the vents, Barou pushes him up with the broom, leading to yet another chase.
Now we see the passage of the Top Six being opened up, allowing Reo to see that side.
Bachira keeps up the chase but is stopped by Shidou, who is buck naked.
This distraction was enough for Barou and Zantetsu to nab Bachira.
Reo manages to see Nagi practice as the latter pushes harder and harder to become a new self.
From afar, relieved to see Nagi is still fired up, Reo feels relief as he can say what he did not say before: for Nagi to go on so that they can meet again beyond their dreams.
Nagi imagines Barou, Zantetsu, Otoya and Karasu as shadows he fights in this practice.
As Nagi is nervous in front of a shadow Isagi, Reo comes in to shoot a ball in Nagi’s direction.
Nagi does not see Reo but focuses on the ball, considering it a good one and lands a goal.
Nagi is high from this moment of victory, seeing himself as a god and imagining the world watching him.
Reo walks away, content with Nagi just being Nagi and getting stronger on his own, promising to keep finding him.
We see on Reo’s card that he chose Team C with Yukimiya and Nagi, which Reo shows Nagi.
The chapter ends as Nagi heads to the arena, still hoping to deepen his bond with Reo.
