WILL NAGI BETRAY BLUE LOCK? Nagi’s Backdoor and the Buratsuta 3! Blue Lock Chapter 308 Spoilers!
Buratsuta reveals his evil plan to usurp Ego and this will kickstart Nagi’s VILLAIN arc!

In the previous Blue Lock chapter, Sae Itoshi returns to the story after 4 years as he looks forward to a match with Bunny Iglesias of FC Barcha.
Blue Lock Chapter 308 is titled, “Cocky Chicken”
This chapter has 20 pages.
Editor’s note: “To guide Japan to WC Victory, this man’s objective is…”
The chapter begins where we left off in Chapter 306: “Hello” as Hirotoshi Buratsuta, the chairman of the Japan Football Association, approaches Nagi in the rain.
Nagi does not recognize the man, which surprises the latter.
Buratsuta asks Nagi if he wants to bloom and says that Ego made the wrong call.
As it turns out, there are a maximum of 26 registrants that can enter the team for the World Cup, which has been established in real-life starting from the 2022 FIFA World Cup, increasing the size of the team from 23 players (like the Blue Lock 23) to 26.
To note, the FIFA World Cup is held every four years while the FIFA U-20 World Cup, the one Blue Lock is joining, is held every 2 years.
However, the selection process of the Blue Lock Project was unique from the real-world but at the same time was linked enough to the real world that some fans would hold out hope for other players who did not make it to Ego’s cut.
Buratsuta reveals that part of the deal he made with Jinpachi Ego when he joined the Blue Lock project was that he would be able to choose three more players as a hidden set, in the other words the “Buratsuta 3”, in exchange for approving the budget for the Blue Lock Project.
Buratsuta offers this backdoor for Nagi but says there are some conditions:
1: Nagi must win the selection test in the project Buratsuta planned.
2: If Nagi wins and is selected as one of the Buratsuta 3, from then on, he is to leave all future soccer related management and contrast to Buratsuta.
3: Play in such a way to prove Jinpachi Ego’s methods wrong and put him in a corner, all so that Buratsuta, not Ego, is the Blue Lock representative.
This is quite a smart way to introduce a mini-arc for Nagi to train and grow as a player and, most important, for Nagi to earn back his spot
Good job to Kaneshiro for writing a good method for Nagi to return to the main story without giving him an easy pass.
He has to pass and earn back his spot or else he will never get it again and further prove his despair right.
The wicked man extends his hand, asking Nagi to take over Blue Lock with him.
Nagi is overwhelmed, as he has longed to return to Blue Lock, to return to his friends.
However, Nagi says no, not wanting Ego to be wrong since Ego created Blue Lock and Blue Lock was the place where he got his fire with Reo.
Buratsuta chides Nagi for making excuses and says that Ego is an inhuman monster with no decency.
But Nagi is right since the idea of rejecting Ego’s decision to bring his old place back would equal a betrayal of the very institution that he loved.
Buratsuta mocks Nagi’s pride as an excuse for denying his old potential and refusing to update himself.
Suddenly, Buratsuta gets a call from Sae Itoshi, who informs Buratsuta that the U20 matchups have been decided
Group A is made of Nigeria, England and France.
France wins out of the three, which surprises Buratsuta.
This means that Julian Loki and perhaps even Charles Chevalier will be playing for the national team.
Buratsuta says that Sae has a secure slot in the Buratsuta 3, which could mean that he will clash with his own brother Rin within the same team.
However, Sae says that he will not be joining the Group Leagues as his only goal is to fight Spain, to fight Bunny Iglesias.
Buratsuta tells Sae to rejoin Team Japan after the finals.
Sae notes that if Japan cannot grow stronger without him, then the whole story is meaningless, and declares that Blue Lock is merely a stepping stone for his own goals.
Editor’s note: “The U-20 World Cup is full of speculation ! Only those who desire victory can open up a new future !!”
