Benjamin KILLS Tserriednich?? Hunter x Hunter Chapter 416 Spoilers!

In the previous Hunter x Hunter chapter, Benjamin declares Special Martial Law, locking down everyone, including Kurapika and his attempt to reach the real 14th Prince.

Hunter x Hunter Chapter 416 is titled, “Announcement”

This chapter has 19 pages.

The chapter begins with Special Martial Law in effect as all civilians raise their hands.

1st Prince Benjamin marches to Room 1002, as he has only 12 hours until the TSK-17 virus kills him but only 10 hours of mobility until he slips into a coma.

Benjamin gives Camilla’s men 3 seconds to make a move and indeed he easily comes in, pointing his rifle at her, telling her not to move.

Benjamin immediately rains bullets on her and Camilla takes out her hidden gun, meaning she was ready regardless.

Benjamin knows right away about Camilla’s Nen ability, the counter-type Cat’s Name that activates upon death.

Camilla dares for Benjamin to imprison her and starve her in her cell to see which will happen first: Benjamin dying from the curse or her starving to death.

Finally, the Have-Not assigned to Benjamin, Moswana, activates the curse “We Were Born Out of Convenience”(Yomotsu Hegui), cursing Benjamin. 

As it turns out, Moswana has devoted 10 years of her life to creating the curse and now in front of Benjamin’s eyes, it takes full effect.

Camilla also states that she can last three months by slowing her metabolism and hibernating.

Benjamin counters, saying that if he kills her and the giant cat drains his life, she also runs the risk of transmitting the TSK-17 virus into herself as his life essence will be converted into a liquid to be given to her mouth.

So Benjamin asks if pathogens have enough aura to bring her to life.

Benjamin is definitely coming back to give Camilla the virus to test this theory but first, he has an even bigger threat to face, 4th Prince Tserriednich.

Hearing that there are 20 men, including the Prince, inside Room 1004, Benjamin orders his men to open fire when necessary.

Salkov is surprised that Tserriednich’s Zetsu did not falter even with the Special Martial Law announcement.

We cut to a flashback of Tserriednich asking for Salkov’s gun to fake his own death.

Tserriednich is copying his brother Halkenburg’s plan, by faking his own death.

He’ll off himself with Salkov’s handgun and hide in a coffin.

But by killing himself, he can activate his Nen ability, Parallel Future.

Salkov, Theta’s replacement trainer, is letting this all play out but he is counting on 1st Prince Benjamin to fight Tserriednich, so that he can finally figure out how Parallel Future works

When Theta tried to kill Tserriednich while he was in Zetsu state, Tserriednich just came back to life.

With Benjamin, an even more experienced Nen user, Tserriednich will be put into his greatest challenge yet.

Tserriednich HAS BALLS OF STEEL, man

He is facing a Nen user with MORE EXPERIENCE than he does, using an ability that is not even complete yet.

That’s some Isaac Netero shit right there.

We are about to see this man rock the boat, quite literally.

But before Tserriednich can do anything, Benjamin breaks down his door and spots one of Tserriednich’s men, Danjin, having aura, since Danjin joined Kurapika’s Nen lectures. 

And he wants the man brought to the Ministry of Justice so he can pry more intel about Nen.

Because of that, Benjamin considers having Kurapika as a lecturer for his army.

Kurapika and Benjamin join forces, with Kurapika asking to give Oito clemency while looking for a way to distract Benjamin from finding the real 14th Prince in exchange for providing Nen lessons exclusively for Team Benjamin.

The issue is that there is no way to make Benjamin get in the way of Beyond Netero’s plans.

After all, killing the Princes is all he cares about now plus Beyond’s Curse will speed up his plan anyway.

Now Benjamin meets Tserriednich, surprised to see that his despicable brother is in Zetsu state, confirming that he has Nen

Tserriednich prepares to challenge his big bro but before Tserriednich can finish his sentence, Benjamin fires his big ass gun to wipe out Tserriednich from the face of the Earth.

And this is an even BIGGER mistake than offing Camilla because now Benjamin is under the spell of Tserriednich’s BROKEN Nen ability, Parallel Future.

To simplify, Parallel Future is basically King Crimson from Jojo’s, where the user under the state of Zetsu and closing his eyes sees 10 seconds ahead of the future, taking up no time in the real world, then when he opens his eyes, Tserriednich can change his actions but everyone else sees the dream Tserriednich watched earlier play out in real time being normal and unchanged, unaware that Tserriednich has done something else.

Just like Camilla, Tserriednich makes him killable on purpose because Zetsu or shutting off your aura, turns you into a defenseless human but that’s Tserriednich’s best asset.

By killing Tserriednich, Benjamin is under Tserriednich’s genjutsu.

Anything can happen.

Tserriednich could troll Benjamin, thinking he has won or even take him out just like that.

However, this will not be an easy win for Tserriednich because of Benjamin’s Guardian Spirit Beast, which could fuse with Benjamin and his Benjamin Baton to become an immortal Nen God.

We will see both their beasts in action, how Benjamin can ascend into godhood, as well as the full extent of Tserriednich’s Guardian Spirit Beast, which could mark anyone caught lying in its presence with a cut that gets uglier and more painful overtime, as shown with Tserriednich’s trainer Theta when she lied about her intentions to sabotage the 4th Prince.

Salkov thinks this is how Tserriednich keeps his people in line, potentially enslaving anyone in his presence.

We don’t see her fully mutate but it is getting there.

But what if Tserriednich has buffed his Guardian Spirit Beast even more.

After learning Parallel Future, Tserriednich created another Nen Beast, which is the medium for Parallel Future.

If Tserriednich lands a blow on Benjamin, he could worsen his condition or sabotage him slowly with his OG Guardian Spirit Beast’s torture ability.

Plus, Parallel Future is STILL incomplete.

Tserriednich has been spending almost 2 weeks practicing Nen and right now, he’s working on perfecting his Zetsu, mainly to activate it at will and extend it beyond his record of one hour.

That’s right, mini Isaac here is disappointed that he can only stay in Zetsu for ONE HOUR after only spending weeks on Nen training.

If he perfects Zetsu, he can go beyond predicting and controlling 10 seconds of time. 

With how he is speedrunning his Nen training, Tserriednich could go beyond even a full minute and gaslight the WHOLE BLACK WHALE with his ability to control the future without anyone being able to stop him.

Either way, Benjamin vs Tserriednich will be an entertaining fight and will change the entire Succession War altogether.
