The Call of the Night Sequel is Complete
The Call of the Night sequel extra volume is done and could signal a bright future for the franchise with more one-off stories.

On September 9, 2025, Call of the Night: The Paradise Arc ends with its volume cover, having finished its 8th and final chapter on August 27th.
The sequel started release on July 2nd.
The cover primarily features the detective Kyouko Mejiro, with Call of the Night male protagonist Ko Yamori in the background alongside the members of the Paradise Cult.
Call of the Night: The Paradise Arc tells the story of Ko Yamori, a student, joining Nazuna’s childhood friend and former antagonist, the detective Kyouko Mejiro (formerly Anko Uguisu), as they investigate rumors of the mysterious Paradise Cult that promise immortality to their followers.
About Call of the Night
Call of the Night is a manga written and illustrated by author of Dagashi Kashi (2014-2018), Kotoyama, that has been serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine from August 28, 2019 to January 24, 2024.
As of March 24, 2024, the manga has sold 5 million copies worldwide, across its 20 volumes and exactly 200 chapters.
In 2023, the manga won the 68th Shogakukan Manga Award for the shōnen category.
Bearing the title of a Creepy Nuts song, the story is about a boy, Kou Yamori, enjoying the freedom of night more than daytime, forming a friendship with the vampire Nazuna Nanakusa.
