Pokémon Trolls Fans Using Ash Ketchum’s Father
Fans get trolled about his identity
With Ash Ketchum and Pikachu set to leave the series’ spotlight forever in 2023, one of the last few episodes included Ash’s scheduled meeting with his father.
While we have known Ash’s mother Delia since the first episode, Ash’s father has been a mysterious figure in the series for decades. All we know about him is that he is a Pokémon trainer!
With his chapter ending, fans were hoping to meet Ash’s father finally. And, in the special Pocket Monsters: Haruka Naru Aoi Sora, fans’ wishes were about to come true!
But, this wasn’t meant to be. Ash arrived at the Pokémon Center five minutes late, and his dad was already gone. While Ash couldn’t meet his dad, he did receive a gift: the original cap!
More about Pokémon Masters:
On a new day in the Kanto region, Professor Yukinari Ookido invites Satoshi to the opening ceremony of Professor Sakuragi’s laboratory in Bermellón City. During the ceremony, Professor Sakuragi receives an alert about the possible appearance of a rare Pokémon in the port of Bermellón City, which leads Satoshi and the other coaches to run into the area in hopes of finding the mysterious Pokémon. At the port, they find Lugia – a legendary Pokémon – engaged in combat with other coaches.
Realizing the tactics of the other coaches, Satoshi causes his partner Pikachu to hit Lugia with a Lightning attack. Undeterred, Lugia runs away, but not before Satoshi jumps decisively on her back. To Satoshi’s surprise, she meets another boy, Gou, who has also jumped on Lugia’s back. The two climb on Lugia’s back, leading them on a strange adventure across the seas. When he leaves them ashore, Satoshi and Gou say goodbye to Lugia and return to the Sakuragi Institute.
Impressed by Gou’s discoveries and Satoshi’s insight during their encounter, Sakuragi requests that the duo be his new research partner. And so begins the duo’s journey, which travels through multiple regions to meet many new Pokémon, including those with the Gigantamax capability!
