Pokemon Horizons Anime Casts Kaedo Hondo As Gym Leader

She is set to debut in the 28th July episode of the anime.

On Friday, TV Tokyo revealed that Kaede Hono will voice Nanjamo (Iono) in Pokémon Horizon: The Series. 

In the anime, Iono is the gym leader of the Levinicia Gym and a popular streamer.

She is set to debut in the 28th July episode of the anime.

 

Pokemon Horizons: The Series is the latest anime in the Pokemon franchise. And the only Pokemon anime where Ash is not the protagonist.

The anime started airing on April 14 with Saoiri Den as director and is based on the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet game.

Pokémon is a Japanese anime television series, part of The Pokémon Company’s Pokémon media franchise, which premiered on TV Tokyo in April 1997.

The anime franchise consists of seven sequential series in Japan, each based on a main installment of the Pokémon video game series.

In the international broadcasts, these series are split across 25 seasons, with the 25th season, Ultimate Journeys.
