One Piece Loses Dorry Voice Actor
Dorry’s second voice actor has passed away this year, having only a brief time in the role in 2024.
On May 14, 2026, Takahiro Fujiwara, the voice of the Blue Ogre Dorry, has passed away at the age of 43.
Takahiro Fujiwara has only served as Dorry’s second voice from Episode 1109: “A Tough Decision! An Unusual United Front!” to Episode 1112: “Clash! Shanks vs. Eustass Kid” in 2024, meaning he had barely enough screentime at this point.
Previously, Dorry was voiced by Daisuke Gori from his introduction in Episode 71: “Humongous Battle! The Giants Dorry and Brogy!” (2001) up to his latest pre-timeskip appearance in Episode 270: “Give Robin Back! Luffy vs. Blueno!” (2006) during the Enies Lobby Arc.
Gori is more famous for being Mister Satan from Dragon Ball Z onwards but he passed away on January 17, 2010 at the age of 57.
With the return of the anime and the start of the Elbaph Arc, Dorry is currently voiced by Yasuhiro Mamiya starting August 17,2025 in Episode 1140: “An Admired Hero – The Warrior of Liberation Who Saves Bonney”
