One Piece Found Its Live-Action Brook
A new pirate with a soulful voice with musical talent will make an unexpected appearance in the One Piece live-action Season 2, multiple seasons and arcs before his actual debut.
On February 27, 2026, it was announced that a new, unexpected cast member would arrive quite early in the story of the live-action adaptation of One Piece.
We will be seeing live-action Brook for the first time, played by Martial Tchana Batchamen, s South Africa-based actor who has been on multiple series, being part of the main cast of the Indian action drama series on Disney+ Hotstar, Lootere, among others.
On his Youtube and Instagram accounts, he has shown his singing talents, with fans remarking that he has the voice for the character and anticipating how he would deliver his trademark laugh and mannerisms in his skeletal form.
This is an unexpected casting due to Brook appearing quite late in the story in the Thriller Bark Arc (Chapters 442-489; Episodes 337–381), which is over 300 chapters and 250 anime episodes from where the Reverse Mountain Arc (Chapters 101-105; Episodes 62 and 63) would be.
One Piece: Into the Grand Line will premiere on March 10, 2026 on Netflix worldwide and will have a theatrical release of its first two episodes than 200 theaters in the US, Canada, and Japan.
