The official My Hero Academia Twitter handle announced that the manga will take a one-week hiatus due to the author Horoikoshi’s poor health.

The manga will be skipping the third 2023 issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine which will release on December 19. Instead, the manga will return in the combined fourth/fifth 2023 issue on December 26.

Recently, the Black Clover manga went on a 2-week hiatus, too.

With the manga in its final arc, My Hero fans are patiently waiting for new chapters.

The manga began publishing in the Weekly Shonen Jump in July 2014. Viz Media is responsible for publishing the manga in English digitally and in print in North America.

Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service also publishes the manga in English digitally.

My Hero Academia also has an ongoing anime adaptation. The first season premiered in April 2016, spanning 13 episodes. The second season had 25 episodes and premiered in April 2017. This was followed by seasons 4 and 5, both spanning 25 episodes.

The anime’s sixth season premiered on October 1 and will air for two continuous cours, for a total of 25 episodes. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime as it airs in Japan and streaming it in English Dub.
