Mashle Season 2 Opening Bags Numerous Awards
Creepy Nuts continue to soar in popularity as their biggest hit wins multiple awards

On May 21, 2025, during the Music Awards Japan 2025, Creepy Nuts’ “Bling‐Bang‐Bang‐Born”, the second opening to Mashle: Magic and Muscles, wins 7 awards:
- Top Japanese Song in Europe
- Top Japanese Song in North America
- Top Japanese Song in Latin America
- Best Viral Song
- Best Domestic Hip Hop/Rap Song
- Best Japanese Dance Pop Song
- Best Japanese Song Award
Organized by the Japan Culture and Entertainment Industry Promotion Association (CEIPA) in collaboration with the Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the Music Awards Japan (abbreviated as MAJ) honors worldwide musical talents from Asia, Japan and the Western regions.
Released on January 7, 2024 as the theme of Mashle Season 2, subtitled, “The Divine Visionary Candidate Exam”, “Bling‐Bang‐Bang‐Born” was what led Creepy Nuts to gain international renown in 2024 and topped in Japan’s Oricon Combined Singles Chart and Billboard Japan Hot 100, even peaking at number eight on the Billboard Global 200.
On May 25, 2025, Creepy Nuts also win the Best Anime Song and Best Opening Sequence during the 9th Crunchyroll Anime Awards for Dandadan Season 1’s opening theme, Otonoke while Mashle: Magic and Muscles – The Divine Visionary Candidate Exam Arc also won the Best Comedy Award.
Creepy Nuts is a Japanese hip hop duo consisting of DJ Matsunaga and R-Shitei that formed in 2013 with the release of their first commercial song “Shirafu de Suikyō”.
Along with inspiring the manga, “Call of the Night” via their song of the same name, they also produced the first opening “Daten”.

Mashle: Magic and Muscle is a manga written and illustrated by Hajime Kōmoto for Shueisha’s shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump from January 2020 to July 2023,
Reaching 18 volumes with a total of 162 chapters, Mashle reached 10 million copies sold by March 2024.
Adapted by A-1 Pictures (Kaguya-sama: Love is War, The Seven Deadly Sins Seasons 1 and 2), the first season aired from April 8, 2023 to July 1, 2023 with 12 episodes while the second season, the The Divine Visionary Candidate Exam, aired from January 6, 2024 to March 30, 2024 with another 12 episodes, bringing it to a total of 24 episodes.
The anime has so far adapted the first 74 chapters of the manga, along with Chapter 81.
A third season has been announced, which will cover the fourth arc, the Tri-Magic-Athalon Divine Visonary Final Exam Arc.
Mashle is the story of Mash Burnedead, a boy who has no magical power and relies on his muscles to make it through Easton Magic Academy while hiding his true nature and failing comedically.
