Malaysian Government Contacts Jujutsu Kaisen Author Gege Akutami To Build A Memorial For Nanami!

Episode 18 of Jujutsu Kaisen’s Second Season took the fans by storm. Nanami mentioned his wish to visit Kuantan, Malaysia, before his death.

The fans all around the world came together to bring him to Kuantan.

Furthermore, Malaysia Airlines also referenced Nanami in their advertisement. Even Malaysia’s Department of Statistics in Pahang shared information about Kuantan district using Nanami’s final words to promote tourism.

Now, the Pahang state government is planning to contact Gege Akutami, the author of Jujutsu Kaisen, according to state executive Leong Man Yu.

Leong explained how the fans of the anime also had a part to play in this, as the fans marked the location mentioned by the anime as a memorial to Kento Nanami on Google Maps.

“Fans of the episode had marked this in Google Maps as a memorial to Kento Nanami.”

She also mentioned that some fans also made a proposal about building a memorial on the beach to commemorate Nanami.

“We’re hoping to get an endorsement from the creator of Jujutsu Kaizen so that the beach in Kuantan can become a tourist attraction for anime fans around the world.”

For this, the state government will contact the creator of the anime to get approval on the matter.
