MAPPA Just Launched the Jujutsu Kaisen Sequel Anime Years Ahead of Release
In an unexpected move, Studio MAPPA animated the trailer for the final volume of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, giving fans a tease of what could come by the end of the decade for the franchise.

On May 1, 2026, we got a rare treat even among most manga as Studio MAPPA was commissioned to make a 30-second animated trailer for the final volume of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo.
This features key events, such as how the Okkotsu siblings Yuka and Tsurugi meet Maru, then to Maru’s twin Cross being shot, triggering the war.
We see many cuts of the biggest fight of the sequel, Dabura vs Mahoraga, with Yuka falling down the plane, Dabura using Light and the gigantic Mahoraga facing off against him, ending off with Dabura’s Domain Expansion
Two other fights include the duel of big brothers, between Maru and Tsurugi, even showing us Tsurugi’s Rika fusion, as well as the brief skirmish between Yuji and Mahito in the Passageway of Souls.
This was quite unprecedented as most manga volume previews are stitches of the manga panels with music unrelated to the anime.
There are also live-action trailers, such as for One Piece Volume 111 or Kagurabachi.
The OST played here is “A Changing World”, the track used when Kenjaku revealed his plan for the Culling Game in the final episode of Season 2, which is fitting given that Modulo is a brave new world.
Yuji Itadori’s voice actor, Junya Enoki, provides voice over, with a more somber tone fitting the much older veteran Yuji of the sequel.

The incredible Souta Yamazaki is the reason for the exceedingly high quality in the drawings, as shown with his work throughout Jujutsu Kaisen ever since Season 1.
