Kaiju No. 8’s Final Volume Cover Revealed
Will there be additional epilogue content for this final volume of Kaiju No. 8?
On August 12, 2025, less than a month after the manga ended, Kaiju No. 8 reveals the cover for its final volume 16, featuring Kafka Hibino in his human form.
In Volumes 1 and 8, Kaiju No. 8 was shown instead of his human form, so in a way, this is a fitting way to end the story.
The release of the final chapter has also coincided with the start of Season 2 of the anime, which is currently ongoing.
About Kaiju No. 8
Kaiju No. 8 is a manga series written and illustrated by Naoya Matsumoto for the Shōnen Jump+ app and website from July 3, 2020 to July 18, 2025.
As of March 2025, the series has reached a total of 15 volumes and has sold over 18 million copies worldwide.
Season 1 was released in 2024 produced by Production I.G. (Haikyuu, Heavenly Delusion) with monster designs by Studio Khara (Evangelion Rebuild movies) and adapted the first 38 chapters of the story.
The story follows Kafka Hibino, a 32 year old man who ingested a parasitic creature and gained the ability to turn into a kaiju, eventually joining the Defense Force that opposes the kaiju.
