Weekly Shonen Jump magazine has announced that Jujutsu Kaisen manga by Gege Akutami will go on a 2-week hiatus starting on June 9, 2024, after the release of chapter 262 in WSJ issue #28 and will come back on June 30, 2024, with chapter 263 in WSJ issue #31.

The reason stated is Akutami-sensei’s sudden illness. Exact details haven’t been shared yet but we and the entire fandom wish for his speedy recovery!

Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 262 featured the 2nd round between Gojo Satoru and Ryomen Sukuna but with a little twist. They spam Domain Expansions against each other while the scene suddenly shifts to Rika-chan, who seems to be worried about something…

Jujutsu Kaisen is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Gege Akutami.

It has been serialized in Shueisha’s shōnen manga magazine, Weekly Shōnen Jump, since March 2018, with its chapters collected and published in 26 tankōbon volumes as of April 2024.

Crunchyroll describes the overall plot of Jujutsu Kaisen as:

Yuji Itadori is a boy with tremendous physical strength, though he lives a completely ordinary high school life.

One day, to save a classmate who has been attacked by curses, he eats the finger of Ryomen Sukuna, taking the curse into his own soul.

From then on, he shares one body with Ryomen Sukuna.

Guided by the most powerful of sorcerers, Satoru Gojo, Itadori is admitted to Tokyo Jujutsu High School, an organization that fights the curses… and thus begins the heroic tale of a boy who became a curse to exorcise a curse, a life from which he could never turn back.
