Dragon Ball Super has reached an incredible milestone for a lesser received sequel

On April 7, 2025, it was revealed that Dragon Ball: Super, the sequel to the successful Dragon Ball manga, has reached 12 million sales after 10 years of serialization.

Of note, the original Dragon Ball manga’s 42 tankobon volumes has accumulated a global total of over 260 million copies as of 2022.

Around this time, Volume 24 was released and remains the most recent volume as of writing.

Dragon Ball Super is a manga written by Toyotaro and supervised by Akira Toriyama until his passing on March 2024.

Dragon Ball Super serves as the sequel to the original Dragon Ball manga and began releasing on V-Jump on June 20, 2015, reaching 24 volumes and 104 monthly chapters in total.

Dragon Ball Super tells varied stories of Goku and Vegeta acquiring godlike power through their encounters with the God of Destruction Beerus and other entities from the multiverse.
