On Thursday, Bandai Namco Entertainment revealed a new trailer for the Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero game, revealing game modes in the game.

Episode Battle is a single-player mode following eight different characters’ perspectives, with choices possibly leading to “what if” scenarios that divert from the original story.

Custom Battles allow players to create battles with original scenes that can be uploaded online for others to fight.

Within that mode are Bonus Battles, premade scenarios by the developers. In addition to online multiplayer and single-player modes, the game will feature offline local multiplayer, but limited to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber arena.

Pre-ordering the game will get early access to six characters. Additionally, there will be Deluxe, Ultimate, and Premium Collector’s Editions of the game.

Three days ahead of schedule, players who buy any of these editions will be able to access the game.

The first 24 announced characters include Goku, Vegeta, and their various forms and transformations. The roster also includes Gohan at various ages and forms, multiple versions of Trunks, Videl, Beerus, Whis, Master Roshi at base and max power, Piccolo, Krillin, Yamcha, future forms of Android 17 and Android 18, Nappa, Burter, Jeice, Super Saiyan Broly (Full Power), Hit, Super Saiyan Kale (Berserk), Toppo, Dyspo, Kakunsa, Goku Black, Zamasu, Bardock, and Raditz. The game also includes Trunks, Goten, Caulifla, Kale, and various fusions of them and of other characters.

About Dragon Ball:

Dragon Ball is a manga series by Akira Toriyama. It first began its serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 1984.

The manga was later adapted into a multitude of animated series, movies, and games.

The franchise consists of five different anime series, about 21 animated movies, and around 10 games spanning various platforms, from Famicon to Playstation and Xbox.

Synopsis of the Dragon Ball anime:

The story of Dragon Ball follows the life of Son Goku, a monkey-tailed boy loosely based on the traditional Chinese folk tale Journey to the West, from his life and adventures as a child all the way up to being a grandfather.

During his life, he fights many battles and eventually becomes (arguably) the strongest martial artist in the universe.

He is not without help, however: the comic boasts a large ensemble cast of martial artist heroes and villains, which provide the conflict that drives the story.
