Demon Slayer Movie Length Confirmed
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1 is set to be Demon Slayer’s longest movie and one of the longest anime movies.

On July 6, 2025, we got confirmation that the Demon will have a runtime of 2 hours and 35 minutes.
For context, the previous movie, Mugen Train, was 1 hour and 57 minutes long, which is 37 minutes shorter, as it adapted only 12 chapters of content.
Both movies are longer than the average anime movie, as Haikyu: The Dumpster Battle is only 1 hour and 25 minutes long, similar in length to “The End of Evangelion”.
The Evangelion Rebuild films also range from 1 hour and 38 minutes to the length of the final film at 2 hours and 35 minutes in length just like Infinity Castle Part 1 will be.
Part 1 of Infinity Castle is set to adapt 17 chapters, which is 5 more than the Mugen Train movie.
An average Demon Slayer episode, without any opening or ending themes, would be around 20 minutes and would usually adapt 3 chapters per episode.
This means that the movie will be divided into 8 episodes, one more longer than the division of the Mugen Train movie.
There is also the possibility of scenes being extended with more action cuts.
While we have not seen any anime-only techniques from either Demons or Demon Slayers in any episodes, some fans might seen more of the canon techniques being expanded on to fill in the runtime or whole new fights that were not in the manga.
