On August 7, 2026, we got the cover for Choujin X Volume 17, featuring 21-year old Tokio Kurohara in his hybrid form as a shadowed silhouette, standing on a pillar over a red sky and full moon behind him.

This represents Tokio’s darker side as the Grim Reaper as Nanasu is facing all-out war against Guelta II and its forces led by Vanya Ilryakov.

This volume covers Chapter 73: “figure it out” to the upcoming Chapter 76 for a total of 204 pages.

As of present, we are up to the two parts of Chapter 75: “That Bird Will” with 62 pages, thereby giving an overall total 134 pages.

This means another 60 to 70 pages will be needed or two chapters to be released on August 11th and 25th.

This is the third volume featuring Choujin X’s protagonist as not too long ago, we got Volume in April 17, 2025, we got Volume 12.

The pattern so far for this batch of three volumes seems to revolve around the members of the Zero-One Mobile Force, with potentially a mature Palma reveal or even Ely as the Seer.

Volume 17 will be released on Septemebr 17, 2026.

The series has sold 2.45 million copies worldwide as of February 2026.
