Choujin X Reveals Volume 13 Cover

We reveal the latest volume cover, featuring the current main antagonist of the Choujin X manga, Noh Mask/Batista Hoshi.

On July 24, 2025, we see the cover for Choujin X Volume 13 set for release on August 19, 2025.

This volume will cover Chapter 62: “Stripped” to Chapter 64: “Not you anymore”

The cover shows the unmasked Nue Chimera, Batista Hoshi/Noh Mask, without showing his many eyes, maniacally laughing within a red, blood-filled background that are stitched, which resembles the space-time fabric that covers the area around Omega Tower.

He was first featured in Volume 4 (Chapters 22 to 27) but wearing his Noh mask.

Just like how Zora was drawn in colored illustrations and some of the other volume covers featuring character closeups, Batista’s skin and clothing texture feel almost photorealistic.

This further emphasizes how Batista is trapped within a womb-like structure of his own making, as this fabric is where Batista rewrites history to save his wife Hartley from her death.

Notably, the cover image itself has different tears, like Palma’s cover in Volume 7 and Azuma’s cover in Volume 11, which could indicate mental instability as the previous two characters underwent uncontrollable transformations within those volumes (Palma’s Chaosification in Chapter 41, a chapter after the end of Volume and

Choujin X is the latest manga written and illustrated by Sui Ishida.

Ishida previously wrote Tokyo Ghoul and its sequel Tokyo Ghoul:re from 2011 to 2018.

Since May 10, 2021, Choujin X has been released online at Tonari no Young Jump in a biweekly schedule and published physically in Weekly Young Jump.

As of November 2024, the manga has sold over 2 million copies.
