Chained Soldier on Another Month-Long Hiatus
Chained Soldier will be taking a much-needed long break
On October 3, 2026, it was announced that Chained Soldier will be taking a month-long hiatus due to the artist Takemura suffering a wrist injury since June and thus Shueisha has decided to prioritize the artist’s recovery.
Last year, it was the author who had health issues and thus the biweekly series took a month-long break.
By August 2026, the manga had over 6.8 million copies in circulation.

As of writing, Chained Soldier has over 188 chapters and 21 volumes, with Volume 22, covering Chapters 179 to 187, releasing on November 4th alongside Sakamoto Days Volume 29.
