Call of the Night Makes SURPRISE Announcement

The story of Call of the Night is not over yet, especially as more anime seasons are coming.

On June 5, 2025, it was announced that Call of the Night will be returning with a new arc titled “Paradise Arc” to be released on July 2, 2025.

This could be a Part 2 or sequel to the Call of the Night manga that ended at exactly 200 chapters on 2024.

The new arc is planned as a short-term serialization to promote the start of Season 2 of the anime.

Therefore, the length or amount of new chapters not yet revealed.

This could be one volume or so but could potentially open the doors for a longer sequel.

The story ended with the pair, Ko Yamori and his vampire lover Nazuna Nanakusa, living their long vampiric lives together while chasing one another.

This announcement coincided with the release of the trailer for Season 2, which is set for July 4, 2025.

About Call of the Night

Call of the Night is a manga written and illustrated by author of Dagashi Kashi (2014-2018), Kotoyama, that has been serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine from August 28, 2019 to January 24, 2024.

As of March 24, 2024, the manga has sold 5 million copies worldwide, across its 20 volumes and exactly 200 chapters.

In 2023, the manga won the 68th Shogakukan Manga Award for the shōnen category.

Bearing the title of a Creepy Nuts song, the story is about a boy, Kou Yamori, enjoying the freedom of night more than daytime, forming a friendship with the vampire Nazuna Nanakusa.
