Berserk Collaborates With A Major Dark Fantasy Gaming Franchise
You have been branded but this is not the world of Berserk. It is still just as nightmarish.
On April 18, 2025, Diablo IV released a teaser showing a Barbarian character wearing a familiar set of armor, the Berserker armor from the legendary dark fantasy manga, Berserk.
Previously, Diablo IV released a roadmap for its collaboration with some IPs this year and while there is no date for the Berserk collab, this will likely fall between April to July.
Diablo IV is a 2023 online-only action role-playing dungeon crawling game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment and has earned $666 million in revenue within the first six days after launch, quite an ominous and fitting number and even exceeded a billion dollars in earnings by September 2024.
The game takes place 50 years after Diablo III, with a new protagonist, the Nephilim called the Wanderer, who confronts Lilith after she takes over the realm of Sanctuary.
Berserk is a dark fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Kentaro Miura that began serializing in 1989, still continuing under Studio Gags’ care after Miura’s untimely passing on May 2021.
Currently, the manga has 42 volumes and has sold over 60 million copies worldwide, making it one of the best-selling manga in the world.
