Ao Ashi Creator Has a New Manga Coming Next Year
Ao Ashi’s author is not done yet at Weekly Big Comics Spirits, all the while having his monthly cooking series in another magazine!
On June 18, 2025, it was announced that Ao Ashi creator Yugo Kobayashi will start a new Manga in Spring 2026 in at Shogakukan’s Weekly Big Comic Spirits, the same magazine where he published Ao Ashi.
Kobayashi also has a series in Kodansha’s Monthly Shōnen Magazine, a cooking manga, Fermat’s Cuisine, published since September 6, 2018 with 5 volumes, a 2023 live-action drama series and upcoming anime schedule on July 5, 2025.
There is no word on what type of series this will be but considering Kobayashi’s works, it will deliver on the author’s skill in telling a variety of stories or perhaps it could be another sports manga given Weekly Big Comic Spirits is a seinen manga magazine for sports, food and business.
Ao Ashi will end on Monday, June 23, 2025.
Ao Ashi Season 2 is slated for a 2026 release.
