One Piece: How Did Vegapunk Create Doflamingo’s Seraphim? Powers Explained

In Chapter 1086 of the manga, we were introduced to more Seraphims, including one based on Donquixote Doflamingo!

One Piece

Seraphim, the upgraded version of the Pacifista, are known as Dr. Vegapunk’s greatest creation. First introduced in chapter 1059 of the manga, it is clear that the Seraphim are going to be an important part of the World Government’s power as they are replacing the Seven Warlords of the Sea.

Fans have been eagerly waiting to know whom these Seraphim would be based upon, and we’ve already seen the ones based on Dracule Mihawk and Boa Hancock.

In Chapter 1086 of the manga, we were introduced to more Seraphims, including one based on Donquixote Doflamingo!

So, let’s take a look at the Seraphim based on Doflamingo!

How Was Doflamingo’s Seraphim Created?

Dr. Vegapunk himself confirmed that all the Seraphim were brought into existence on Egghead Island.

This creation marked a major achievement in Vegapunk’s scientific career and represented the pinnacle of his knowledge.

The purpose behind Vegapunk’s creation of the Seraphim was to develop the most powerful beings in the world, and they have the potential to go toe-to-toe with the strongest.

Similar to the other Seraphim, Doflamingo’s Seraphim will likely be named S-Flamingo, and would have heavily relied on Lineage Factor to be made.

Lineage Factor, discovered by Vegapunk and fellow MADS scientists several decades ago, serves as the fundamental blueprint of life.

This breakthrough allowed Vegapunk to refine the process of cloning, as evidenced by instances involving Stussy and other events in the One Piece storyline.

Much like the case of Vegapunk cloning Stussy, he can potentially clone any individual by obtaining their specific Lineage Factor.

Given Doflamingo’s affiliation with the Government as one of the warlords and being a Celestial Dragon, it would not have been overly difficult for Vegapunk to acquire his Lineage Factor.

Consequently, Vegapunk successfully cloned Doflamingo, resulting in the creation of S-Flamingo.

However, the development of Doflamingo’s Seraphim goes beyond mere cloning.

These Seraphim have also been enhanced with Lunarian abilities. Thus, the Lineage Factor of the Lunarians has been mixed in, making Doflamingo’s Seraphim a Lunarian version of his true self!

How Strong Is Doflamingo’s Seraphim?

Every Seraphim possesses a certain level of Green Blood as their power source.

The creation of Green Blood also relies on the utilization of the Lineage Factor, essentially making it the blood that carries the abilities of Paramecia-type Devil Fruits.

It is important to note that Green Blood exclusively functions with Paramecia abilities.

As for Zoan abilities, they can be provided with artificial Devil Fruits instead.

However, Logia abilities cannot be replicated through any known means.

Vegapunk states that duplicating Logia devil fruit abilities would require a significant amount of time and a considerable amount of financial resources. Hence, Logia abilities have not been successfully reproduced at all.

This means that Dolfamingo’s Seraphim can the Ito Ito no Mi Devil Fruit’s powers. The fruit allows the user to produce and manipulate strings, which turned out to be an insanely powerful ability!

However, it isn’t likely that the Seraphim will be able to use the awakened version of the fruit.

Doflamingo could use all three types of Haki as well, but we don’t know if the Seraphim can as well.

It will be a major problem for pirates if the Seraphims can use Haki, especially Conqueror’s Haki, which can render fleets of pirates useless in an instant!

The S-Flamingo also has the green blood and the power of Lunarians too.

The unique ability of Seraphims prevents them from taking any pierce damage until the flame on their back goes out.

On top of that, Seraphims get a power and speed boost when the flame goes out as compensation!

Overall, S-Flamingo is going to be an extremely dangerous opponent who could give hell to many pirates!
