In the previous Four Knights of the Apocalypse chapter, Zeldris overwhelms Chaos Lancelot with Ominous Nebula.

Four Knights of the Apocalypse Chapter 257 is titled, “Unforgettable Passion”

This chapter has 20 pages.

This is yet another chapter cover showing events within the chapter as we see Demons moving en masse under Azyl’s guidance.

One Demon asks Schwarz why the Demon King ordered them to go to the Abyss, with some even doubting their King, thinking he will surrender their Realm to the human.

Schwarz silences them, saying that Zeldris fought against the previous Demon King to free the Demons from his tyranny and the Holy War and now makes the hard choice to protect them from this unexpected crisis.

One Demon is looking for his son and wife, to which Schwarz offers to look for them.

This chapter, like the Demon Realm chapters in Part 1 of the sequel manga, are good displays to remind the audience that Demons are not inherently evil in this universe but have lives as well.

Gelda approach Schwarz, who assures the Queen that the Demon King will come back.

We see Lancelot’s spear split apart but then reforged together.

Within Lancelot’s next attack, Zeldris breaks the spear again and kicks him back, offering Lancelot a chance to leave to prevent war between the Demon Realm and Britannia, for his sake and for his friends.

Lancelot refuses to give up and fires another Shining Road, with Zeldris scolding Lancelot for wasting every Demon’s hope sprouting towards Humans thanks to Percival.

Zeldris unleashes Ominous Nebula to hit Lance with his sword and Lance hits the ground.

As he pushes Lance back with Ominous Nebula, Zeldris reminds Lancelot of what he did two years ago, giving Percival courage and power and how angry and saddened from the bottom of his heart he was when Percival died for the first time.

So he asks Lancelot if he really is a Knight of Prophecy and why he is doing all this.

Lancelot insists he is the Knight of War indeed but also the destroyer of everything, so he asks Zeldris to retreat out of his sight as he does not want to fight the Demon King, only to unleash destruction to places and inflict as little harm to living people as he can.

So he stands up and charges towards Zeldris, who refuses to retreat as he cannot afford to lose the peace the Demon Realm finally acquired after defeating the tyrant and his bonds with his brother Meliodas that he just recovered.

Zeldris unleashes Black Thunder, disabling Lancelot in a beam of dark lightning.

As Lance is down, Zeldris turns around and sees the Indura of Resentment, the other Indura unleashed last chapter,

This is one of the weirder designs too, as its elongated oval black head is bigger than its whole body, with hairs standing out that have their own heads.

A dark triangle forms under Lance who sinks inside.

As the triangle completely forms, Zeldris thanks Lancelot for reminding him of his resolve and determination as a King once again.

The dark triangle turns into a tetrahedron, sealing Lancelot.

For a time perhaps.

Bottom: To be continued in chapter 258 is titled, “Limit” and will be released on October 21, 2026.
