The Summer Hikaru Died Ending SOON
After 5 years, the Summer Hikaru Died will see its conclusion next month.
On September 1, 2026, it is announced that “The Summer Hikaru Died” will be ending in two chapters, with Chapter 51 set for release on October 20, 2026
The chapter after, Chapter 50, will be set for October 15th.
Chapter 49 has been completed as of writing this with its 3rd part, having been spread across about 10 pages each first on August 18th, then August 25th.
The ending was set was early as November 5, 2024, with the confirmation the series will reach 10 volumes in total.
It has been officially announced to end this year on May 26th.
With the release of Volume 9 on June 4th, it was stated that by June 1, 2026, the series had 5 million copies in circulation
About The Summer Hikaru Died
The Summer Hikaru Died is written and illustrated by Mokumokuren for Kadokawa Shoten’s Young Ace Up website in August 31, 2021.
Adapted by Cygames Pictures (Cypic, the studio behind the Kagurabachi adaptation), the anime had 12 episodes from July 6 to September 28, 2025, adapting the first 26 chapters of the series.
Season 2 has been announced.
It is possible Season 2 will finish the rest of the series by the time Volume 10’s contents arrive by the end of the year.
