Kagurabachi Volume 12 Finally Features Its True Main Antagonist
We finally get the official colors for Chihiro’s villanous uncle, Akemura Soga, the Sword Saint himself.
On August 23, 2026, we finally got the cover for Volume 12 of Kagurabachi, featuring its main antagonist, the Sword Saint and wielder of the Shinuchi, Magatsumi, Akemura Soga.
This volume covers Chapter 106: “Karma” to Chapter 115: “Blacksmith”, concluding the long running Sword Bearer Assassination Arc that lasted 8 volumes, from Chapter 45: “What Comes Next” to Chapter 112: “Future”. for a total of 67 chapters and ending Part 1 of the manga.
However, this volume also starts Part 2 with Chapter 113: “Rock” via the Seitei War Arc, a flashback into the origins of the Kagurabachi story.
This volume has been delayed for a month due to the sudden hiatus last June 29th, returning on July 27th.
Kagurabachi has sold over 4 million copies as of April 4, 2026.
This volume is set for release on September 4th.
