Solo Leveling Nears 4 Million Sales

On June 22, 2026, Solo Leveling has reached 3.9 million copies sold from just the Japanese edition alone.

Meanwhile in France, it has sold over 2.6 million copies as of August 14, 2025, meaning the series has sold more than 6.5 million copies.

While the bulk of Solo Leveling’s popularity can be seen with the webtoon and manwha media, the anime made significant headway to propel the series into the heights of popularity.

As of October 1, 2025, it has amassed 14 billion page views from more than 175 million readers globally and at least 5 million copies of the manwha were sold by the release of the anime in 2024.

Combining these figures, there is a much clearer 12 million copies across different countries.

About Solo Leveling

Solo Leveling was originally South Korean portal fantasy web novel written by Chugong, serialized in Kakao’s digital comic and fiction platform KakaoPage beginning on July 25, 2016, and was later published by D&C Media under their Papyrus label since November 4, 2016.

It would later become a webtoon  first serialized in KakaoPage on March 4, 2018, illustrated by the late Jang Sung-rak (Dubu), vided into two seasons, with the first season ending on March 19, 2020, followed by its second season, released from August 2020 to December 2021.

Eventually, Solo Leveling would be adapted into an anime television series by A-1 Pictures (Seven Deadly Sins, Kaguya-sama) that began airing on January 7, 2024 and ended on March 31, 2024 and a second season from January 5 to March 30, 2025.

Hiroyuki Sawano (Attack on Titan, Seven Deadly Sins) composes the series original soundtrack.
