No More Anime Seasons? Solo Leveling Anime Movie in the Works
A Solo Leveling movie has been in the works since 2025, leading to questions on whether or not the series will be released in television by seasons anymore.
On July 4, 2026, Anime Expo reveals the concept video for the upcoming film, “Solo Leveling -Beyond the System-“, which will serve as a continuation of Season 2 and is set for release in Japan in 2027.
On November 5, 2025, we got a leak that A1 Pictures will be producing a new Solo Leveling anime film set for release on the second half of 2026, although this is only early scheduling.
Some have taken this announcement to indicate a precedent for the Solo Leveling series as moving into films instead of future seasons.
However, Season 3 is confirmed to be in production, with the “Beyond the System” film working once again as an early compilation film to promote the upcoming season, which will likely be released in 2027, 2 years after Season 2.
The movie is likely to adapt three arcs: the Ahjin Guild Arc (Webtoon Chapters 111 to 122), the Double Dungeon Arc (Chapters 123 to 131) and the Japan Crisis Arc (Chapters 132 to 139) for a total of 28 webtoon chapters adapted.
As each season adapts over 55 chapters, it is likely the season will end with the International Guild Conference at Chapter 149 or at the Monarchs War at Chapter 166 as the final three arcs reach up to Chapter 200 or perhaps the Monarchs War will set up the fourth and final season.
