IMU AND MIHAWK ARE CONNECTED??? One Piece Chapter 1181 Early Spoilers!

With a Black Blade and a similar move to the mysterious Warlord, this One Piece chapter could be furthering the connection between Imu and Mihawk.

In the previous One Piece chapter, pressed for time, St. Nerona Imu overwhelms Zoro and Sanji with “Devil’s Haki”, Omen, and faces off against Loki.

One Piece Chapter 1181 is titled, “God and Devil”

Loki vs Imu begins!

Loki tries to crush Imu with Ragnir, which is back in its hammer form but Imu stops Ragnir with a huge Omen flame.

Imu increases the size of his body and now is almost the same size as Loki.

This seems to be the ability shown when Sabo attempted to save King Nefertari D. Cobra in Chapter 1085: “The Death of Nefertari Cobra”.

Are Imu and Mihawk Related?

Imu creates a giant sword named “Nemesis”, which looks exactly like Yoru and pierces Loki’s chest, using the same sword attack as Mihawk.

This is a Black Blade, a sign of Conqueror’s Haki infused into the sword.

Is this the sixth of the 12 Supreme Grade Blades?

Nemesis obviously means “archenemy” but it has a Greek connotation for the goddess of retributive justice.

And this is another important part: Nemesis is the DAUGHTER of the Night.

Yoru in Japanese means “Night” and it is the first Black Blade shown in the entire series.

With a sword and eyes with ties to Mihawk, are they related in some way?

Is Dracule Mihawk, a man with the name of Dracula, the “son of the devil”?

In a chapter titled, “God and Devil”, what if Oda is slowly leading us to that conclusion?

Joy Boy and Imu were Actually Friends??

Although the hints say this is less of a dialogue chapter, we get some philosophical monologuing from the series’ main villain.

Imu explains that humanity’s desire for “power” leads to “corruption”.

To easily obtain that power, humans make “pacts”.

And when these 3 things come together, “domination” arises.

These are the conditions for Domi Reversi it seems and thus the nature of the Devil’s Fruit.

Loki says he will not submit to anyone, which is fitting for a Conqueror but Imu replies true happiness only comes under “domination”.

Which actually sounds like something Loki in “The Avengers” film has said.

To free people from the lie of freedom and his own pursuit of glorious purpose.

Then Imu remembers Joyboy (still shaded, it seems they were friends) and suddenly Imu shouts very angry “Isn’t that right, Joyboy!!!”.

The hints were right about this.

Imu was remembering Joy Boy and it felt surprisingly fond in spite of how their philosophies contradict each other.

Loki attacks Imu and pushes him into the Adam Tree.

Then Loki changes to his much larger, kilometer wide, Dragon Zoan form and shoots a “Thorheim” beam of lightning.

The chapter ends with Imu smiling after surviving Loki’s attack, saying that Nidhogg has returned.

This is quite an unnerving sight.

A man who embodies the ultimate force of oppression in the One Piece world is smiling out of nostalgia, seeing one of the three people he hates most.

In some twisted way, Imu seems to actually like Joyboy and Nidhogg but wants to impose his concept of order upon the world as a Devil.

There will be a magazine BREAK NEXT WEEK due to the Golden Week holidays.

One Piece Chapter 1182 will be released on May 11, 2026.
