Is Dragon Ball Super Returning in 2026?
We might actually get the return of Dragon Ball: Super this year as, alongside the anime’s return, the author is promising fans that he will work hard to bring back the manga too.
On March 21, 2026, the author of the Dragon Ball Super manga, Toyotaro, changed his Twitter bio to “Everything is for the return of the series”

However, there has been no recent post or tweet from the author, not since February of this year
Ever since the release of the latest manga chapter on February 20, 2025, fans have been eagerly awaiting the manga’s return but with no chapters over the past year, now reaching 14 months, the wait has been too long.
With the remake of the Beerus Arc this year and the upcoming adaptation of the Moro Arc announced on January 25th, it seems like the franchise has regained new spirit and now we might have a tangible hint that the author is invested in bringing back the iconic sequel manga.
There has been no update on a chapter release as of the moment, although Dragon Ball Super has been featured in various V-Jump magazine covers throughout the hiatus.
