The third special chapter has Hakuri’s abusive older brother Soya die for the second time.

The end of Kagurabachi Part 1 has Chihiro reforging Enten in the midst of the Kamunabi and Japan being under the thumb of the revived Sword Saint, Soga Akemura.

Kagurabachi Part 2 has begun with a flashback arc, exactly like Naruto did.

This chapter has 19 pages.

The chapter takes place 20 years, 2 years “giant island”, Shokoku, suddenly appeared in the sea southeast of Japan.

34 hours prior, a record-breaking earthquake exposed an unidentified mineral vein on the surface of the island of Chiba, which is located between the island nation and Honshu, Japan.

Reacting to spiritual energy and generating immense power, this ore was soon declared one of the most vital resources to Japan as a nation.

It seems the discovery of Datenseki triggered the war, meaning it was more than an ideological struggle between nations but a resource war.

Two years later in Tokyo, we see a gang of thugs bring in a canister of a small Datenseki stone, with one man remarking that even the government has no idea how to control it and that this one stone is worth 20 million yen.

The island did not pop out of nowhere without people but always had inhabitants who hid themselves.

Was this an act of Sorcery?

To Japanese Sorcerers in the criminal underworld, the Shokoku people were quite different from the Sorcerers they know.

And something is preventing people from actually passing into the island, such that the Japanese wonder if the beings there are even human.

One gangster wonders why the island was classified as a small country and it is because it is unusual that it has a barrier the size of two towns that is capable of keeping outsiders away, something that is impossible for normal Sorcery.

Either these people have extraordinary Sorcery or they use the power of the mysterious Datenseki stone.

Furthermore, since the island emerged out of the sea after an earthquake, it is possible these beings are not accustomed to sunlight and they have chosen to isolate in preparation for war with the outside world, training themselves to endure these new conditions.

Suddenly, a young Togo Shiba sits down, finishing a smoke, which triggers the other gangsters to point their swords at him but uses Teleportation to shove them away and move to the other side of the couch.

After, Shiba meets the gang leader, who identifies Shiba as the guardian of the Soga Clan, the clan of the eventual Sword Saint, and is a Sorcerer who is also a government lapdog.

A junior of Shiba’s named Mashiro appears, who tells Shiba not to kill the gang leader as they need information.

Shiba mentions the gang leader’s concern over war with Shokoku Island.

Shiba talks about how the islanders have been disrupting their mining operations for Datenseki in Irishima and wonders what to do with the Datenseki.

Shiba is contacted by the government, who do not trust the young man that Shiba will hand the Datenseki to.

We see a government laboratory where the Datenseki is examined by scientists, as the government is confident their own experts in swordsmithing are sufficient.

Shiba points out that they have not made any breakthrough in two years since the Datenseki was discovered.

Shiba states he will make a detour and then return immediately but Shiba turns off his phone sneakily, revealing his true intention.

To hand the Datenseki to Kunishige Rokuhira, his close friend.

Like how Kagurabachi Part 1 ended, we begin here with a younger Kunishige.
