Fire Force Season 3 Part 2 Releases Final Trailer and Shocking Episode Count
Fire Force’s episode count leaves many fans wondering if the anime ending will truly deliver.
On November 30, 2025, Fire Force Season 3 Part 2 released its main trailer.
Alongside the main trailer came the key visual, with Shinra having a red halo and devilish smile while behind him is a cross featuring Haumea, Sho and Arthur.
Trailer Breakdown
The trailer immediately takes us to the finale itself as Haumea, speaking as the vessel of the Evangelist, the main villain of the series, declares the end to the story, almost as a meta commentary for the series itself and of humanity’s destination towards despair and death desire.
We see the Great Cataclysm take place, red fire and fire tornadoes burning the land while a giant eye looks down from above, with Hibana and Joker watching over the scenery.
We then see a colored, more moving version of real-life Sumire Sugita, who was once an ordinary Japanese woman before the Great Cataclysm, declaring that the apocalytpic event will be the waymaker for the extinction of all life.
This leads into a sequence showing the Soul Eater moon, just on cue for the cour’s opening, followed by shots of Gustav Honda being shot at the Eye, the Proto-Nationalists and a young Benimaru Shinmon.
The opening heats up alongside Shinra using his Fourth Generation ability to enter Lightspeed, Arrow burning down the Infernals, with all the other characters, Maki, Tamaki and Benimaru showing off while Iris prays, as well as gimpses into Shinra’s past, including the birth of her son and that hints to the events of the 21st arc, the Kusakabe History Arc (Chapter 230 to 233).
Obi declares that Company 8 as the counters to despair as it does not suit them.
We also see a glimpse of Shinra’s final form, Shinrabashoman, with three powerful opponents incoming: Faerie, the White Clad who fought Sho in the last episode of Cour 1, Dragon, Arthur’s archnemesis, and Benimaru’s Doppleganger and ending on the eight pillars, with Shinra captured.
Opening and Ending
The final cour’s opening is “Ignis” by Takanori Nishikawa, known for his work as T.M.Revolution, which is massive because T.M. Revolution was responsible for Soul Eater’s first opening, hinting towards
The ending theme “Speak of the Devil” by Survive Said The Prophet, known for their work on Vinland Saga Seasons 1 and 2 (Opening 1: “Mukanjyo” for Season 1 and Opening 4: “Paradox”).
Episode Count Controversy
Furthermore, it has been confirmed on December 29, 2025 that Season 3 will indeed follow every other season as the second half of Season 3 will have 13 episodes.
Part 1 had 12 episodes, broadcasting from and they adapted 40 chapters (Chapter 175: “At the Center of Faith” to Chapter 217: “Self-Unaware”)
This leaves 88 chapters yet to be adapted.
For context, Fire Force episodes have a rather fast pace, often needing to trim some scenes down while expanding others, adapting 3 to 5 chapters per episode, something exceeding that count.
Episode 1 of the new season is titled, “(Sub) Unaware”, a reference to the last chapter the season left off, and will conclude the Stone Pillars Arc and lead into the Asakusa Showdown arc at Chapter 220: “The Father of the Proto-Nationalist”, judging from the trailer preview showing Hibana and Licht talking about their findings.
Will Fire Force skip some crucial scenes to reach the finale?

Crunchyroll has confirmed that the cour’s dub will be a simuldub, releasing on the same day when Japan releases the episodes.
