The Sword Saint is CHIHIRO’S UNCLE! Kagurabachi Chapter 100 Spoilers!

Chihiro has truly become a shonen protagonist now that the FINAL BOSS of Kagurabachi is confirmed to be his evil uncle.

KAGURABACHI © 2023 by Takeru Hokazono/SHUEISHA Inc.

In the previous Kagurabachi chapter, Yura manages to defeat Uruha, Natsuki and Azami and praises Yukisada, his strongest Hishaku with Regenerative powers, while heading for the Sword Saint to kill him.

What a perfect place to land on the 100th chapter of this new hit manga.

Kagurabachi Chapter 100 is titled “The Sword Saint”

This chapter has 19 pages.

The chapter begins with Yura heading for the lowest level of Kamunabi Headquarters, the Underground Prison and calls for the Sword Saint, who is still far away from Yura’s reach yet through Magatsumi’s connection, he is able to make his voice heard.

We finally have the full identity of the Sword Saint

The Sword Saint Explained

Soga Akemura, the Sword Saint and Wielder of Magatsumi

During the Seitei War 18 years ago, this man killed 200,000 people from the enemy island nation of Shokoku with Magatsumi’s ultimate technique, the Malediction.

This leads to the other five Enchanted Blade wielders capturing him alive and now he is imprisoned in the lowest level of the Kamunabi.

There was no time for psychiatric evaluation during those turbulent times, and his true condition at the time has remained a talking point of many speculatory accusements.

This led to the Kamunabi labeling his condition as “severe delirium” due to having witnessed countless corpses throughout the war and feeling the immense power of the Shinuchi.

However, this ruling was strange for Yura but he understood why discussions on the Sword Saint’s mental state had to be restricted: to prevent chaos and to focus on monitoring only him.

This is why Hokazono had placed Hagiwara’s return immediately before this chapter, to reinforce the idea of extreme mental fortitude breeding a stronger type of Sorcery, such as the creation of an autonomous entity like Kugara’s mask as a result of this delusion improving Hagiwara’s Spirit Energy control.

This plot point was set up to expand on how mental health or delusions can actually empower Spirit Energy control, not only for Hagiwara and the Sword Saint but potentially other characters.

And we see the diversity of such mindsets, which has been set up with both Kyora Sazanami and Yura having obsessions, practicing their obsessions to master Magatsumi, as well as Genichi Sojo treating his blade as its own person in the bonus chapters.

As Yura reaches the cell holding the Sword Saint, he declares that he is the first person who has communicated or made contact with the Sword Saint in 18 years.

Yura meets the Sword Saint, declaring his intent to kill the man but the Sword Saint is introduced just stretching and…talking like a normal person.

Soga asks why Yura looks puzzled.

Yura is surprised to see that Soga is just a normal person and not someone in a state of delirium.

However, Soga points out the clear truth that many fans have noticed: anyone who killed 200,000 people did not do this out of sheer madness.

Soga, the Sword Saint, chose willfully and with full conviction on his ideals, to kill 200,000 islanders, both soldiers and civilians, in the midst of a peace treaty, in his personal effort to protect the country of Japan.

Yura is surprised by the clarity he faced even after 18 years in silence and without human contact.

Soga’s words also confirm that he unleashed the Malediction without being possessed by the Enchanted Blade

Yura also asks if Soga’s willpower is also what is stopping Yura’s body from being eaten alive.

Soga explains that he wanted to know some things about the outside world and Yura is the first person he has talked to in 18 years, not to mention that Soga has to figure out how close or far does he have to be to prevent a lender of the Shinuchi from being eaten up.

Soga then asks Yura if his brother-in-law, Kunishige Rokuhira is still alive.

This means the Sword Saint, the person that is essentially holding Chihiro’s life, is Chihiro’s uncle.

What kind of person was Chihiro’s mother and why did Kunishige trust Soga so much, besides a familial relation?

Yura reveals to Soga that he was the mastermind behind Kunishige’s assassination

Soga does not seem to react with anger or sadness, only remarking that the Enchanted Blades have begun to move, showing the Sword Saint’s link to the Lifelong Contracts binding the users, including his nephew Chihiro.

Soga now asks if Yura has come to kill him.

Some flowers sprout from the ground and Yura retrieves Magatsumi, now unsealed.

Yura’s True Goals

Yura explains that he has come to “affirm” the Malediction, to right the wrongs of the Seitei War heroes but he was not referring to the genocide after the war by Soga’s hands.

Rather, it was the mistake of sealing the secret of the Malediction.

For Yura, the Enchanted Blades was the solution to tidy up the world’s flaws, that some people deserve to die.

Suddenly, Yura’s victims, including Uruha and Natsuki, begin to sprout flowers.

Hakuri worries about this ticking time bomb as he recalls Chihiro’s words to not let another Enchanted Blade take innocent lives.

Yura initially invaded the Kamunabi Headquarters to kill the Sword Saint because he was in a state of delirium and seemingly killed 200,000 people out of madness.

Now, Yura knows that the Sword Saint is actually more like himself than he thought and that the Malediction could only be possible because the Sword Saint had a strong willpower worthy of the Shinuchi.

Yura sees Soga as a kindred spirit, an ally.

Soga asks what Yura is.

And Yura delivers this killer line: “Let us guide the Enchanted Blades… Toward the horizon they were meant for.”

Yura, stop aura-farming!

This is such an Aizen moment, right down to the pose, which is similar to when Sosuke Aizen removed the glasses, ending his fake life as a Shinigami and declaring that he will stand on the empty throne.

This makes me wonder if Yura was inspired by Aizen, considering how their goals might be similar in nature.

It is now clear that like the treacherous Kamunabi head Kasen, Yura has a desire to cleanse Japan and the world of rotten elements.

This is funny because just like Pain’s Akatsuki, Yura is achieving this with the worst possible people imaginable but half of them have enough depth to be understood.

Yukisada is groomed, sure but we also have Hiruhiko, who kills like breathing but has the potential to be a useful force.

Kuguri is someone who would obey Yura’s sense of order, alongside the lethargic Bingo, the fun-loving Hokuto, and the more organized Jeanist Sorcerer and Pine Sorcerer.

Uran is an unknown.

The Hishaku is overall less volatile and evil than the Akatsuki, which had Hidan (a murder worshipper), Kakuzu (a trigger-happy money lover), Zetsu (a cannibal spy who seems to be mostly on “Madara’s” side), Deidara (an arsonist but dependable), and Sasori (an empty-hearted sociopath).

Yura and Soga the Sword Saint have formed an unholy alliance, the worst possible one between two people who are essentially the same guy.

Throughout the manga, we have seen Yura and the Sword Saint being compared, even having similar poses with their hand facing down.

During the invasion of Kamunabi headquarters, Yura’s eyes turned black and it was confirmed to be due to his Spirit Energy having already made contact with the Shinuchi while it was sealed away.

Now it is clear why: the two men are the same type of person: extremists who seek ruthless change.

Azami the Monster

Yura did not need to turn around but he noticed that Azami had just arrived and that he had survived the offscreened conclusion of their duel.

In a near-death state, Azami glares at Yura with a wide smile just like Satoru Gojo in Jujutsu Kaisen when Toji Fushiguro found him alive after supposedly killing the young Sorcerer.

That’s two back-to-back aura moments inspired by different Shonen Jump works.

Azami attacks but Yura points his fingers and activates Dragonfly to take out Azami’s remaining arm, the right one.

But now, Azami resorts to using his legs and recalls meeting a much younger Chihiro as the latter talks about how the path of a monster is acceptable.

We cut back to Shiba, finally back after a long while, getting a phone call.

He seems to be in the sushi bar owned by the former wielder of one of the two remaining unnamed Enchanted Blades.

The time has come to introduce the sixth Enchanted Blade.

Editor’s note: “But this.. is a SUSHI BAR?!

Next issue, the Kamunabi Headquarters Battle changes yet again.. How will things go from here?!”

Kagurabachi Chapter 101 will be released on November 17, 2025.
