The One Piece Anime Will Be On Break For Two Weeks
The One Piece anime will be taking a break, which coincides with the current manga break due to Oda’s health.
On September 27, 2025, it was announced that the One Piece anime will be on break for two weeks.
On October 5th, there will no episode airing.
On October 12th, there will be a recap episode focusing on CP0.
It is a shame that the current One Piece anime no longer adapts cover stories but this could have been a chance to adapt the “CP9’s Independent Report” that cover Chapters 491-528, a total of 33 chapters.
These breaks exist to give time for the anime staff to maintain consistent animation quality while also making sure they do not get too close to the manga.
The recent episode, 1145, has adapted Chapter 1111, meaning there is a 50-chapter gap.
Coincidentally, the One Piece manga has also taken a break this week due to Oda’s health but will resume on October 12 with Chapter 1162.
