Vinland Saga Changes Its Final Chapter Release Schedule
We now have confirmation that the ending of Vinland Saga will be a lot quicker than anticipated.
On June 20, 2025, we received an update on the date of Vinland Saga’s chapter.
As it turns out, there will be no chapter this month for Vinland Saga as author Makoto Yukimura has taken an unexpected hiatus.
This means that Chapter 220 will be released on July 25, 2025 and will be the final chapter of Vinland Saga.
Yesterday, it was already announced that Vinland Saga will be ending by July 25, 2025.
As early as 2024, Makoto Yukimura has many made statements about how close the finale has been and has made his intention to write over 1,000 pages for the Vinland Expedition Arc.
There is still no word about Volume 29 and what its contents are but so far, the total page count from Chapters 210 to 219 is 242 pages long, which surpasses most regular manga volumes.
For context, Volume 28, released on June 21, 2024, has 192 pages, with Chapters 202 to 209 that total 184 pages.
Vinland Saga also publishes in “book format”, containing two volumes per book.
Book 15 would have made up Volumes 29 and 30.
Most likely, Chapter 220 will have a chapter length between the regular 30 pages to over 88 pages, the length of Chapter 1: Normanni.
The longer page length would make sense for the sake of adding content to the potentially sparse Volume 30.
