JURA STOPS UZUHIKO! Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 22 Text Spoilers

For the first time since its introduction 20 chapters ago, Boruto’s UNSTOPPABLE technique has been stopped!

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex © 2023 Mikio Ikemoto, Masashi Kishimoto Shueisha

In the previous Boruto chapter, Sarada Uchiha uses her gravity-based Mangekyo Sharingan ability, Ohirume, to defeat Ryu, making her the first character to defeat a sentient Shinju!

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 22 is titled, “Jura”.

This chapter has 38 pages.

The cover features Boruto.

The first sneak peek is the 3rd page of this chapter as Jura emerges from the Claw Grime summoned by Ryu in Chapter 20: “”

Jura doesn’t seem to care about Mitsuki, Araya, or even Ryu’s Thorn Soul but he looks at Sarada for a moment with “…” before looking away to keep looking for Boruto.

Back to Boruto and Konohamaru: Matsuri’s remains turn into a Thorn Soul, which Konohamaru takes.

This might be how Jura finds Boruto and so he flies towards him at high speed.

Boruto is throwing shuriken around the rock formations so that he can use the Flying Thunder God technique and prepare for Jura’s arrival.

Spotting Borutom, Jura immediately fires a Rinnegan Tailed Beast Ball to where Boruto and Konohamaru are.

Boruto grabs Konohamaru so that they can escape from the explosion and later throws him away.

Konohamaru leaves the area, running with Matsuri’s thorn soul.

Jura is eyeing him.

It seems that Jura is more concerned about Matsuri or rather was hyperfixated on why Matsuri lost in the first place.

Suddenly, Boruto appears behind Jura and lands a Rasengan on his back.

The Rasengan pushes Jura down but Jura withstands the blow without bleeding and manages to turn himself around to fire a Rinnegan Juubidama at Boruto.

Boruto uses the Flying Thunder God technique to get away.

Jura keeps falling but suddenly, Boruto Boruto teleports behind him with the Flying Thunder God technique from a rock formation which has a shuriken, which he prepared a while ago in the chapter.

This is where we see the second sneak peek.

Jura makes a remark about Boruto’s Flying Thunder God technique.

Back to Eida and KK they talk about how Boruto does not stand a chance of winning while bringing up the symbols Boruto uses for the Flying Thunder God technique

We return to the fight and Jura says Boruto knows too much about them like about the Thorn Soul, which is why he rushes first to kill Boruto instead of saving his two defeated comrades.

There are five Sentient God Trees and two of them were already defeated while Hidari and Mamushi are still chilling in their base.

Jura also wants to know about his source of information.

Seeing how tough Jura was in their previous encounter, Boruto comes to the conclusion that only Uzuhiko might work against Jura.

Jura asks Boruto what “love” is, saying that love brought him here and wonders if it is a human defect.

Jura becomes more interesting since, while he is as “innocent” as the other Shinju, he has the memories of the Ten Tails, meaning he has seen bloodshed and the futility of human life yet he is unable to experience “life itself” due to being confined in the large body of the God Tree seed and in being constantly caged by the Otsutsuki.

Uses Wood Style on Boruto from all directions but Boruto jumps and cuts them apart.

Jura uses more Wood Style against Boruto, so Boruto runs away until one of the Wood Style tendrils captures him.

This results in Boruto being separated from his katana and Boruto being unable to move.

As Boruto and Jura talk more, Jura grabs Boruto’s katana.

Suddenly, we see a wind aura around Boruto, resulting in its destruction.

Boruto has activated Uzuhiko!

Boruto teleports to where the katana is, being near Jura and lands a Rasengan: Uzuhiko on the sentient God Tree’s back.

However, this Uzuhiko looked weak as Boruto did not have enough time to charge.

If you recall, Uzuhiko is a Rasengan that combines Boruto’s chakra with that of the planet, relying on the gravitational forces that enable the planet to rotate in the first place, ensuring that anyone affected by this Rasengan will be unable to form in their own accord but follow this rotation.

There are two variants: the minimal damage version that only confines the target to a rotation and the other one that completely obliterates the target.

This seemed like the one Boruto used on Code in Chapter 3: “Uzuhiko” instead of the one he used on Hidari in Chapter 12: “Thorn Soul”.

Uzuhiko’s effects seem to be kicking in as it pushes Jura back and he falls on his knee.

But….Jura was able to nullify Uzuhiko using the same principle of how his Tailed Beast Ball works.

Recall in Naruto Shippuden, Eight Tails Jinchuriki Killer Bee taught Naruto how to create a Tailed Beast Ball, which required a positive black chakra to negative white chakra ratio of 8:2 to even form.

We might get a better explanation with translations but it looks like he was able to compress the Rasengan or he gathered white and black chakra in a similar ratio, resulting in a counter-rotation to erase the effects of Uzuhiko.

This would make sense since the Rasengan is based on the Tailed Beast Ball.

The chapter ends as we see Jura standing up fine while Boruto shows a worried look and is shocked that Uzuhiko, his trump card against Code, did not work on Jura.

Editor’s note: “Even the trump card that could turn the tide is invalidated…!! A future of despair is closing in on Boruto!?”
